I haven't commented here in a while because there's 1 too many assheads in this thread.

Just wait until the exchange is fully decentralized and it can scale to thousands of users trading there.

We're talking about one of the first blockchains with unlimited scalability here.  It's not something that can be built overnight.

Patient holders will experience a mega rise of the Heat market cap.
Yeah let's better not mention the name of the 1 asshead but I agree he is a real savage! Unlimited scalabilty... Don't you get it? This shit is at 7tps and won't go any higher. This is bitcoinlevel! The so called "tests" they did where they said they could do 100k tps, those were validation test if transactions were valid! This was not a consensus test! To have this kind of transaction volume you need more than just to validate transactions! If it would be so easy to reach 1000tps with memory mapped files, why doesn't bitcoin or ethereum do it this way? Yeah because this is not the bottleneck! And how would they have even tested it? At the time of stating they can do 1000tps easily, they could not possibly have a working network! So they couldn't have tested it! Half a year after they made that statement they didn't have a working network! I asked multiple times how they tested the 1000tps so I can reproduce the test. Guess what, they never even responded to that question! Why? Because they just lied into our faces! This is called FRAUD! I can't believe people are that stupid and still want to invest into this bullshit! They will not answer the test setup question because they know I am right! They don't care because they know every smart person will not invest in this horseshit anyway and stupid people will not be interested if the statements they made are true or false! Yeah people investing now belong to the second group I mentioned.

so is FIMK done? I still hold some FIMK, what to do with it?
The FIMK live p2p network is soon 3 years old. FIMK tech is sound and mature with all major crypto features and some unique ones readily usable.

We've promised to hold FIMK up for at least 4 years. As stated previously, FIMK will be integrated to the HEAT wallet and traded on the HEAT AE. Good things usually happen with patience. Unless you have some strange need to clean the zero liquidity FIMK from your stash right now, I suggest you consider venturing some business with it instead.

(Hint: Noble causes aside, for simplicity let's recall that Heat Ledger Ltd owns some 230 Million FIMK and leveraging that for profit is in our company interests)

Does the lottery take anything previous wins or anything else into account?
My node is listed as participating in the lottery but havent won in about 12 days. With an average time to win of 2.5 days it is looking very unlucky.

Do you see your node at the https://www.heatwallet.com/nodes.cgi and the heat.myPlatform has your account?
The rewards are random, previous wins aren't taken into account. If the node's port 7744 can't be reached, it is not a public node, you should check if the firewall / router allows incoming connections to port 7744.
Yes. It also has a red circle on heatnodes.org. I have also had previous rewards and havent changed any of my network settings.
It might just be bad luck. 5 times the average wait is unlucky but certainly not impossible.

I joined only few days ago but got 1 time reward and since that time none. I hope luck will come again and i could at least cover cost of node but even if not it is still worth it.

so is FIMK done? I still hold some FIMK, what to do with it?

Thanks, devs could make that alot more clear for new adopters.

Yeah. I'm also really concerned. Is it possible to trade FIMK on HEAT's built in exchange?
If yes than it would be a great opportunity to trade it. Even if rate would be really low it would be still some liquidity.
I don't see any on Openledger, partly because i stopped buying it Wink

Philosophical question
There are times when you would like to make contract and "freeze" your stake like in FIMK or other altcoin to gain some BTC to invest (sudden time limited opportunity) to buy your stake back late at appointed time.
Is there any altcoin which offers funtionality such as that automaticly without human escrow? I mean with mechanism of lien with interest or something like that?

Is my Heat address the account number on the top right of the client?

Yes. You have it at the top of home section following #

If so, it is indeed a case of bad luck.

Hello to everyone! I'm new to the forum and would have a question.

Is it possible to transfer BTC from the wallet, or only Heat?
Asset transfer doesn't work...

During the past ~2 days with staff out of office heatwallet.com experienced some java certificate issues, making the site to not show HEAT blockchain content as designed. In such circumstances when the web site is unavailable or not serving data, the peer network and blockchain are operating fine. It'd be advised to run your own server to access the HEAT services during those times.

The HEAT faucet for new BTC depositors also went a bit wild and was shortly cut off. Services have now been restored and BTC redemptions are up to date.

Eliphaz, I'm still waiting for my BTC redemption from April 11th. My acct # is 6100592565213227281

I'm trying to get back in the Heat market but I need this 0.29 btc redemption to be resolved first. Thanks.

I will try to forward your issue with haste. I'm sure it will be sorted out soon.

I installed

C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.8.0_131

and set
"Java_Home" to this folder.

When i type "Java" in console windows detects it. Whats wrong?  Huh

I was having similar issues.  What solved it for me was uninstalling and reinstalling the Java Dev Kit and then manually adding it to my windows path.  You also need to quit the heat wallet and restart it or it won't work.

Deinstalled everything - reinstalled and followed this guide: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1672281/environment-variables-for-java-installation
---> reinstalled Heatwallet
-> restarted Heatwallet with admin rights

-> still same problem  Angry

its not really rocket science to install java on a pc and run an app. if you cant, pay someone to do it for you for $100 bucks.

I could set up a VPS for you for that money, including the VPS for 6 Months!

Yeah our friend Johnny over there in badurp-a-durp-land doesn't seem to get what the problem is. You don't reach mass adoption if an user on bitcointalk is not able to run a simple client or can't find a working guide that tells him how to do that...

Or maybe you need at least one outgoing transaction from the account like in NXT? Try sending a fraction of HEAT just on any acount maybe it helps.
