i have just started mining on linux. deadline - 0 hittime - 0.

i have a feeling i wont be getting rewards. anyone can please advise?

If you have a new account your balance becomes effective after 1440 blocks, before that it is impossible to forge/mine. Could this be the case?

This project is really interesting (great API) but has one big disadvantage - huge inflation. It will be hard to protect the price from falling down further with so many new coins generated everyday.[/size]

inflation is not the problem here.

forging/mining rewards of projects in the first year are accumulated and not sold on the marked, usually.

you expect a better price, if

--the project already matured
--the inflation is lower

for that just the people who wants to get out has to to be kicked out by a low or high price. higher prices are better, so the people coming new in are not selling to early.

Everything worked fine with mining, but for about 5 hours I`m delayed, now on block 240400. Any advice?

I had the same problem. I assume you forked. I could only solve the problem with deleting the blockchain and load it new again.

Ok, thanks. And how did you delete it?
First stop your node (using CTRL+C). If you use the wallet, there is a "Stop Server" button. Then, on Linux:
Code:
cd heatledger-1.0.1
rm -rf blockchain
On Windows, look for the blockchain folder with the explorer and then delete it. I think it is located in C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Heatwallet\app-1.0.1\resources\heatledger (replace "username" with your own). If you don't want to wait for the entire chain to download and sync, a faster way is to follow the instructions at: https://heatbrowser.com/report.html

i also forged about 20 hours on a forked chain. not nice. needs some work on it i guess.

I closed the wallet and opened it again and it downloaded the full blockchain by itself. Now, mining again. Thank you.

alot of people are running a node having that problem!

Using the central server (heatwallet.com) for AE is convenient because of the graphical UI, but you can also do decentralized AE trading with API calls, see: https://heatwallet.com/api/#/Order   In the examples just replace https://heatwallet.com:7734/api/v1/... with http://localhost:7733/api/v1/... to execute the API calls on decentralized nodes.

I think he's talking about this:

Quote
Because the HEAT client hosts client side real crypto, integrated to the HEAT blockchain asset exchange through built-in invisible gateway, users can trade cryptocurrencies right from their wallet on p2p orderbooks without going through an exchange. This means that once your trade for ie. BTC/ETH goes through, you can use the BTC or ETH as you do normally. Bye bye withdrawal delays! Welcome multicurrency client and native direct exchange!

That's why I'm in this.

Of course the tech is important, but huge inflation will prevent the coin's price from going up. Look at the exchange prices now.
Prices in any market move in waves of optimism and pessimism. We have gone from optimism to pessimism to optimism and now people are getting pessimistic again.

Inflation is good because it incentives whale holders. I just wish the tech worked. Also, I want a truly decentralized exchange not this trusted thing.

I really think the critics have this coin wrong in as far as inflation goes. Inflation is not the slightest problem. The only issue is whether the tech will work.

I agree we should consider changing the rewards and making them lower. Otherwise there is a risk we will get stuck in the 3000-6000 price territory.

This project is really interesting (great API) but has one big disadvantage - huge inflation. It will be hard to protect the price from falling down further with so many new coins generated everyday.
The number of coins is expected to reach 50 million by January 2022, a doubling from today's 25 million in 56 months. That translates to an average inflation of 1.24% per month (1.0124^56 = 2), although the inflation is higher in the beginning and lower towards the end. After January 2022 the inflation will be zero.
Many coins start out with high inflation. Bitcion did and Ethereum still has a pretty high inflation, and they are doing pretty well.

HEAT deposits and withdrawals integration with the C-CEX exchange was just completed.

https://c-cex.com/?p=heat-btc

just tried a ccex withdrawal message said something along the lines of "automatic withdrawal failed - will be completed manually"

the chain is forked :-(
It happens from time to time that individual nodes fork, but if https://heatwallet.com/#/explorer and https://heatbrowser.com/report.html (updated every minute, search for Latest Block: height:) are at almost the same block height, I think you can assume that is the main chain. https://heatstatus.com/wallet/#/explorer is another one to check.

Yeah who gives a shit about consensus right? We have reached 7tps and are all happy now, who cares if you have to reset your client almost every day?! Has C-cex enabled automatic withdrawals now? Can I exploit the 1000 bugs that are in the heat bullshit now? Yeah that would be great... I need to force ccex on another chain so I can do deposits and withdraw heat without actually depositing...xD  Come on c-cex, enable automatic withdrawal immediately!!!  Angry Angry Angry Angry Roll Eyes

Looks like it's heatwallet.com node that doesn't work properly. 4 other nodes I checked are fine. Maybe they never updated.

edit: and now  https://heatwallet.com/#/explorer is fine as well. guess they updated now Cheesy
