Is BTC disbursement not working? Just wondering because I have gone through disbursement process before and all went well. But this time it has been a week since I asked for disbursement, following all instructions like before, and still have not received my BTC. It's only 0.29 BTC, but I still need it. And I've sent 2 emails to support without reply. Anybody else having problems with getting their BTC out?

I think the Easter holidays has had it's toll on this service that needs manual attention. I'm pretty sure that today everything will be brought up-to-date.

I hope it was due to the holidays. It's already Tuesday evening and still nothing. Going on almost 8 days since I asked for BTC withdrawal. Getting a little frustrated at this point.

Countdown is on for rewards.  Getting exciting!!!

Current estimate for when rewards are enabled is Wednesday April 19 at 20:30 (UTC). Only HEAT which have been sitting in an account for 10 hours or more can forge/mine.

HEAT has picked up nicely indeed, a bunch of new users, part of them have landed directly in Slack. But a warm welcome to you all!

Block rewards have been enabled for decades, for hundreds of years. How can the chain operate without block rewards? Do u think it's any different than chain of neurons inside human brain? POS POW shit is obsolete, get me something I haven't seen before. I'm developing a cryogenic chain here which will be mined by itself and will automatically distribute rewards between microdroids.

Hi,
Thanks.
After several ctrl+F5. I was showing about 5600 HEAT. So, better but still not clear. I thought that I had bought HEAT for 1 BTC at 0.000116. So that is: 8620 HEAT. . Maybe the order was not completed as not showed in Show my trades. ..
I think the problem is the slow refreshing of the webpage.
Thanks again anyway for your fast reply.

Heatledger.com
Hi,
I am new here. Just a noob question. I have just bought some coins using heat exchange.   1 BTC. However, when I go to home page (https://heatwallet.com/#/home) it still shows 1 BTC and + 0.05000000  HEAT. In the exchange page, however I see 0 BTC and 0.02 HEAT.  It makes no sense at all. I miss something  I guess. I got about 7000 HEAT. I don´t understand the 0.02 notation ….
Welcome. If you could post a screenshot it'd be easier to see what you mean. Or just tapping CTRL+F5 on the screens you want updated could help you out.

Does yhis currency have nodes? Howmuch node gains Smiley

Yea you can run your node or desktop wallet locally. Daily gain with 100 000 heat at current valuation would be roughly 20 USD which is highly profitable imo. Rewards are enabled on Wednesday afaik.

There is a pool too with calculator http://heatpool.xyz/

And instructions for VPS if you don't want to run node locally: http://heatnodes.org/heatnodes.pdf

I don't know why you are still stick with HEAT, no large exchange lists it, at least you need bittrex, OK? They raised more than 1000 btc but lol.

no risk, no fun. you have to feel comfortable with your investment, some people need a coin which has a marketing machinery running in the background. this project is focusing on microtransactions for blockchains, because thats a real world use case and its also marketing its development. it make sense.

for a listing on bittrex you need market makers trading your coin, this project is focusing on its own exchange. PoS coins dont work very well on exchanges, because you cant mine/mint/forge it. so if you are small, you have to go your own way, like heat do. I am sure once heat is more mature, it will be traded on big exchanges too. It will be listed on bittrex and other exchanges. Now we wait for wallet integration on alcurex, very nice exchange with coins tradeable from poloniex and bittrex.

there are still some things to do like PoP reward, 1000tps, so there is potential, thats why people buying in.

HEAT is gaining attraction and the daily trade volume is at 20BTC. That is a pretty good ground for the future to come. We are all waiting for the rewards to kick in, while new users find the coin. Here is a countdown clock for the happy event Smiley It is a rough estimate.

Set up a node is 24 hours to open a computer? Can I use the VPS Hosting service to run nodes?
Yes to get the most out of a node it will need to run 24/7. Yes you can use a VPS.
You can find a guide to it here http://heatnodes.org/heatnodes.pdf

Ope ledger yes, send to heatledger and your address and it will eventually get there. I've done it twice.

Will there be a reputation system built in? Also, what if I wanted to create a new market with a new coin, is it possible?
Creation of new assets is currently disabled at heatwallet.com. There is an expected price increase to create new assets, the fee will probably be raised to 500 HEAT. There is no reputation system built-in, but there is a flag which states if an asset is Certified or not, see screenshots below. Currently, only assets created by Heat Ledger Ltd are certified. At the moment, be very careful with assets which are not certified - standard due diligence is required. Three questions which should be asked are:

1) Do you know the real identity of the asset creator?
2) Is the asset backed by something of value, for example bitcoins?
3) Does the asset creator provide transparency, for example a web-site dedicated to the asset?

If No on any of these questions, I would stay away.

Didnt they at one point mention that they are planning to add a reputation system. I remember it being mentioned when they first started talking about dapps.

That would be trusted gateways and pretty much how bitshares exchange operates. But the premise with heat later is native tokens with hidden gateways

Quote
DIRECT CRYPTO TRADING

Because the HEAT client hosts client side real crypto, integrated to the HEAT blockchain asset exchange through built-in invisible gateway, users can trade cryptocurrencies right from their wallet on p2p orderbooks without going through an exchange. This means that once your trade for ie. BTC/ETH goes through, you can use the BTC or ETH as you do normally. Bye bye withdrawal delays! Welcome multicurrency client and native direct exchange!

Yeap heat is the copy of bitshares DEX, and a poorly crafted one, I must admit. While openledger is built by a maestro coder, heat exchange is designed by a coward cowboy with enlarged arms struggling elephantiasis. That is to say that heat has never been close to building its own one of a kind decentralized gateway for conveying transactions, it copied the existing source code and renamed it to match with token's name.
