Dev doesn't speak for a long time and then returned with a nice update.

I've been around since almost the start and still using hodl.
I was curious, what methods of mining are there? I'm interested in wallet mining but want to be efficient.
I also have a 2nd computer on the LAN I'd like to use without running a wallet.

Tried closing and reopening many times, still no connection to the network...

first: I emphasize that the hodl network is working fine as my wallet is active with many connections " it is active"
second: please make sure that you are using the updated client " hodlcoin-6.0.0 "
now you can try connecting and if it does not work please try connecting using vpn

Tried installing the wallet on another computer, and still it can't find any block source.
Gonna try with a vpn...
if the issue exists even with the vpn, the last probability of it will be for sure the windows security of windows 10 may block the app as it defines the hodl wallet app as a potential unwanted app . if yes; go to windows security and restore the probable missing file and treat it as a trusted app.

Backup source in case somebody want to do fork? Its a dead coin last 2 years. Dev is gone to another project.

Is there some retiring of coin going on? I noticed on the chain explorer the in circulation amount seems to have gone down (haven't checked in awhile though).
There was block reward cut from 500 to 50 coins. A lot of unnecessary changes....
Currently there is no will for further development by main developer so we are stuck in a crossroad and switched in some weird waiting mode.
Its a shame though. This is unique coin with ASIC resistance and fair CPU mining algorithm.
I will pay 10,000 HODL for two pizzas. Who sells :-)
