I was lucky enough to be involved in some small mining of this coin and just kept going because at every 50hodl is opened up a year deposit at a crazy interest rate. To be fair the coins were worth more then. Still now I have a huge stash. Hodl for life !!

Just curious - how "huge" is your stash - a million? more?  Mine's only a few hundred g -- HODL ON!!!!!

Any clue when/why coinexchange now requires 50 confirmations for HODL deposits?

Danke, Bernhard

I have a hodl of these. Just for long-term. It's a nice way to save. Put it into hodl bank and weight. I'm sure the price will ok up to so it's not just saving it will make some profits. I'm glad the coin survived that one year hodl. Nicely done hodl coin.

-If you're getting this, then we're agreed on the blockchain - as is fuzz's block explorer, and coinexchange.io as best as I can tell.

anything else, and you might be on a different chain.

What do I have to do, if I do NOT get that hash mentioned above. I got it on one machine, but not on the other??

This is not what I'm having. How can that be?
I hadn't been running my wallet (Linux 64, v3.0.0) for a few days and restarted earlier today with prebuilt binary v3.0.1, did some solo mining, hit some blocks, and yet I'm getting confirmations from the network!!!

Has the hodlcoin chain effectively split in two or more? Huh

If I was running my very own blockchain I wouldn't be receiving confirmations from the network for mined blocks and interest, right? I Don't feel I did anything wrong and would be quite pissed if my coins were lost and ended up untradeable.

Recommend you do a -reindex

Alternate chains will appear to operate just fine - actually they'll have a small hashpower, so you might appear to be mining a lot of coins, but it's fools gold unfortunately.

2 of 3 machines show the correct result.  the third is still 30 weeks behind trying to sync the chain so that hash is out of range.  58 active connections with loads of 3.01 peers and it's been days trying to sync.

What block is it up to. What's the hash of that block it is reporting? What are the messages at the tail of the log file.

On one of two that shows the correct result it is still missing the send to self transaction of a couple of days ago.

What's the transaction id?

Generally folks, only details and specifics are helpful in getting to bottom of these kind of issues. If you're having problems, post the specific details or only general solutions can be recommended.

I have 3 instances of my wallet on 3 different computers.  All are at 3.01 now.  Last night I blew away the blocks and chainstate folders on all of them.  today, I have one wallet that seems to be current, and I used that to do a "send to self" transaction today.  On the computer that I did the transaction on, everything is normal.  On a second computer, my transaction list is missing the send to self transaction.  On the third computer, I'm stuck synchronizing at 49 weeks behind.  So things are rather....inconsistent right now.

Something similar happened to me. One wallet synced fine, one on another comp did not.

I just copied the blockchain data from the good instance over to the other wallet I have on another computer. I also made sure to add the connected nodes from the good one to the other. Seems to have worked.

The faster everyone switches to v3.0.1 the better, i still see a lot of folks on v3.0.0

Yes, I think that is likely the reason this is so jacked up right now.  I think I would follow the advice to copy the blockchain over but I'm not really confident in one wallet cloned showing me the true picture.  Hell, I'm not even sure what the true picture is anymore.
