Our new blog post with our real life story.

The problem of financing small and medium-sized enterprises, insider’s view – Debitum Network founder’s account

'Banks refused to help me throwing absurd reasons; the family wasn’t able to help because the sums required were too big. I was forced to sell a large part of the company’s shares to the investor just to survive. After the shares sale, and obtaining the vital cash injection, the company finished the year with a very solid profit. A few more weeks without money would have caused the company’s bankruptcy.'

Good afternoon. Who will assess the likelihood of risks for a particular loan - your employees or special services in entrepreneur’s country?

Professionals like local risk assessors in each country and market segment will assess the risks of particular loans.

What is the minimum sum, that you need to invest to become one of the creditors on your platform? Or there are no limitations?
We are going to target more institutional investors to finance SMEs on the platform. However, financing products will be offered to individuals as well with no minimum investment.

Hello. Is it advisable to use Debitum as a tool for long-term investments? I prefer to receive passive income, without interfering into the process itself.

Hello. What is the priority for you: to enter developed countries’ markets or to enter developing countries’ ones? Personally, I support the second option.

What is the minimum loan period on your platform? I often need funds for a few hours, and I would not want to overpay for their use.

What kind of debt collection methods are you going to practice?
Local debt collectors will be responsible for this. That is why we want to work with local services who are familiar with laws and practices in their countries.

Let’s say, that I have put 10 thousand dollars on my account, then I have invested in some companies and wait for revenue. How the funds will be allocated among them?
The way you want it. The amount of a loan, interest rates and terms are determined by an investor.
But if entrepreneurs consider my terms too overstated, and they will refuse to cooperate? Can I mark out somewhere, that I'm ready to bargain?

You will be able to communicate directly with entrepreneurs, that need a loan, and discuss all terms. The main requirement is that everything should be transparent.
Great. And will we have to hire a notary officer and pay him for formation of a contract or the procedure will be automated?
