This is one of the few crypto exchanges that looks like they plan to offer some extensive methods to trade beyond what the existing crypto brokers have been offering it seems to put it more on the line of fiat to exchanges

I really appreciate ONAM's efforts to cut out market manipulation. They are going to implement AI technology that will screen all the trades on the exchange and they will be able to sniff out and remove any suspicious activity. This is great for other users as it makes the overall experience more transparent and fair and no whales can control prices on markets.
The term whales is now synonymous to a mafia gang
, doing their bidding unchecked and it will be nice to see such been curtailed to a minimum,onam seems to have gone through the loopholes of other exchanges and map put modalities to take care of such, that's why they seem to be triggering some sort of frenzy in the community, between, has anyone noticed the rapid increase in their community base?There is much fake action going on under the hood of many exchanges. It would be great to see this changing. From my talks with the admins they are quite focused on the compliance part. Even crypto trading would require KYCing
You're right about that and it will be nice to really see a change, the fact is, once they start doing what they stated, it will encourage users to come in and try them out because they are doing something differently and they should be dedicated in ensuring that they stick to what they started, it will really go a long way in creating a good platform
THey actually stand firm by that decision I tried to discuss not KYCing for crypto trading but it is the only way to be comliant. They also told me that this how things will be soon. Ever exchange to keep operations might have to start asking for KYC for crypto.

Yep, They already provided some list of the coin that will going to be available on their exchange. You can check their twitter account for the details of it.

I think that amount should be more than enough to start with. If they are really serious about putting up this exchange, they should not be greedy after all. And with the current situation in the market, you wouldn't expect to raise a huge amount of money. They should be thankful that they get funds here. Now, time to work on their platform...
Yes, they should not be greedy to reach a hard cap but many companies are extending their ICO, if they don't reach the hard cap. If they are very serious about the project definitely they need to work because already they reached the soft cap.
Those token sale figures not much impressive but if you look at the current market conditions I think this is fine. It's not easy to sell tokens in such market conditions.

I don't think they have listed any token or coin that is gonna be on their exchange but i believe they would eventually list them before launch

Which is great to see as they deserve a bigger following, I believe they will continue to grow and we will hear a lot more about this project in the future.

According to the team, the MVP will be open to everybody when it gets released in 2 weeks not just participants of ICO.

In the telegram they were discussing about MVP which will be released very soon. This will also help early adopters to get used to the portal before they go live in Q1-2019.

They have already announced the list of top 25 cryptocurrencies to start trading in their platform once it starts going live. Also they are whitelisting now for new tokens to get listed there.

This is good in theory but in practice may not mean good business for them. The market depends largely on the activities of whales and limiting the performance of whales in the platform ain't good in totality
They might miss out on bigger trades but reducing market manipulation will attract more users which should cover any losses of whales leaving the platform. Market manipulation is extremely difficult to completely remove but exchanges should be doing all they can to stop it. ONAM is really showing they are focused on all their traders by taking this seriously.
Ok if you say so, and I understand perfectly your stand however there is now a great need for marketing and exposure for the project since they won't be depending on activities of the whales, more people have to come in like you rightly pointed out
Do Onam have the plan to use big crypto search engines like etherscan in the future for advertising??
25% from the ICO is allocated for marketing purposes. I think the ONAM team has enough reserves to start a marketing campaign, whenever they need one.
I know right but the exact plans was given out, it will be nice to get this type of information to get much more confidence in the project and to see they are indeed set to scale the project no matter the odds
