hey so Lending is up and running and ECH is worth USD$5.00 per token.
I haven't actually lent anything as yet though....I was gonna wait til someone else went first!! haha...i'll do it tonight when i get back to my desk again
I wish I was a retard so that I would have a desk to get back to.
hahaha nice payout Gleb, love your originality in these threads.
Why on earth do you troll these HYIP threads in the first place? If people wanna risk their money who the hell are you to stop them?
Why don't you stand out front of a casino calling people 'retards' given that everyone in there is throwing their money down the toilet?
ONLY in a retard's mind does showing that an entity is a scam from the get-go = trolling.
Please exit the gene pool before you harm somebody.
Very good.
I understand the good will you are intending in trying to stop people from investing money into scams and that is actually quite noble and kind natured of you, it seems like you genuinely have peoples interest at heart.
The only criticism I have is the way you go about this. I am sure you will find people are more receptive to what you have to say if you soften your approach rather than going full on with "hey retards, dont invest in xyz scam".
Just a a bit of helpful advice.
"You catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar"
True... he has good advice but the way he talks to people is not ok...
This can be a big scam but if u can make a bit of fast money why not...?
Dude, my sentiment was echoed myriad times in civil manners having the same effect - retards still gave their money to scammers who'll later come back here asking for help from those who warned them. Since I was attacked for spreading the same word, I opted to use whatever language I feel like using when posting, resulting in retards still giving their money away.
I bet you can't name the one crypto entity that didn't misappropriate one satoshi. Can you? I'll give you a hint. It was the very first charity in the crypto space (now defunct). The dude who founded it is a legend in this space.
Fair point.
I suppose it must feel like you are banging your head on a brick wall really when it comes to warning people because they just keep coming in droves!
Me included however I wont be coming here to whinge and complain when my money is lost as I'm well aware it's only a matter of time.
As for the entity that did not misappropriate funds...I have no idea but I would like to know that honest people exist in this space. Why is the charity now defunct?
The charity simply ran its course. It was called Bitcoin100. It was founded by me. I purposely did not have access to any of the funds to bestow trust in the entity, handing over the private keys to Roger Ver and Rassah, the latter handling all the money with Roger Ver being the backup in case of a proverbial bus accident. All moneys left account at its end were proportionally returned to initial donators sans a single complaint or issue. Some of the charities we endowed still haven't touched the bitcoins sent them while still amassing more. How would you like to be sitting a free 100
BTC today given to you years ago.
Look, guys, I may come across as an asshole at times, but in real life, I'm a great guy, which can be verified by all crypto dudes who've met me in person at conferences et al. It's just that I get a major hard-on when it comes to nefarious entities/actors.
Hey thanks for sharing, I have a newfound respect for you and what you do and I totally understand where you are coming from. I am sorry that i post in all these HYIP threads as I have money invested in them and I do this for a couple of reasons.
Although I know EthConnect/Bitconnect etc to be a ponzi of some description, it is a bit of a game for me to put some money in and see how far I get. It's a bit of an escape from my normal work day. I also realise that most people who invest in these schemes are generally quite greedy and get a bit carried away. I was like that in the past and got burnt bigtime by Scrypt.cc if you recall that one?
Anyway, because I figure there is no way to stop these schemes from popping up, I sort of take the angle where I invest in them and then aim to caution others about the risks involved. I figure I can't stop people investing but I can atleast educate them to only invest a small amount and to also ensure they try and recoup their initial investments rather than just pumping in more and more and then losing everything when the site collapses.
So apologies if our ideals don't align exactly but I do understand your view totally and I am on your side even though i partake in these schemes.
Hope that makes sense??
edit - so why are the charities still sitting on the btc donated to them? do they have the private keys? Do you still have any contact with Roger Ver or has he gone off the rails a bit?
