IMHO,. Iconomi deserves its own blockcain. Why couldn't a separate blockchain interact with an ethereum smart contract? Then expand the platform's limits with DApp development. And give investors the option to choose how individual dividends are paid whether it be Lisk or Eth. Why put 3500 *+ investor's trust and value at risk (especially fiat investors) because Iconomi's success is currently dependent on Ethereum. Stratis released its own blockchain built to create private blockchains for a fraction of Iconomi's ICO investments. If others understand where I'm getting at... I think its fair to vote on a better solution such as an independent blockchain. And do this by treating every account as a delegate. Personally I would rather wait until Iconomi has the best opportunity to go public then go out on a limb with Ethers current status on work load stability. I bet we would have easily seen 21000 BTC if the DAO hack never happened...

PS: I really like the idea behind Iconomi but I'd rather get dividends in lisk.

All iconomi shares are sold out now. From now these can only be bought on the market. So all people who buy them are okay with receiving dividends in ETH.

Why give iconomi token holders other options? To pump the price for iconomi token?

New investors can invest into index fund, performance fund and the fund management platform. That's good for them and good for iconomi token holders.

Your suggestion is nice to have, but I am not sure it is more important than the above.

Thats a good suggestion but that is if users can wait before its going to be fully implemented. I would also want to have ETH for my dividends. How long do you think its can be done?

Well there was a month gap between Iconomi's whitepaper formalisation and the ICO so I would say about a month but it could be more or less. It's hard say without the knowledge of Iconomi's representatives.

I don't see how that matters at all. Berkshire Hathaway's marketcap is bigger than any one of it's constituents barring Apple.
I would prefer it to be in the ETH after all its in their plan. This will help ETH in the process.
i do think the rest of those who invest on ICN are somehow expecting it to be on ETH and may also are eth holders. Smiley

Honestly, its ridiculous that people are blaming ICONOMi for what happened, to some folks, sending the coins may seem like an easy and straightforward solution, but I don't believe its the right thing to do when the dedicated blockchain is down.

Worst case scenario if ICONOMI chooses to migrate, my humble opinion is to do so with a "blockchain" that is robust and well established, i.e Counterparty which itself is built on the Bitcoin blockchain and has some of the most impressive and honest developers in the crypto community.

my two cents

Your "two cents" is a true possible solution so success; and could indeed help much in this scenario.
After a short examination of Counterparty it seems they have a great and perfect foundation for this.
I have emailed that to Jani to be sure he sees it. Thank-you.

Why can't you just wait for the ETH network to calm down.
For all we know moving to another chain will also take time and maybe by then we can expect ICN to be released on November.

https://coinmarketcap.com/
CounterParty current Market cap: $10,539,308
ICONOMI current Market cap: 10,682,516.42 * 100 / 85 = $12,567,666

ICONOMI Market Cap is already bigger than CounterParty MarketCap, therefore CounterParty is NO GO.

Which is what will happen tuesday during the test contract.
imho
It is prudent to explore other options in the event the double hardfork fails to fix the issue.
And, a coin can be created on Counterparty in literally seconds...  a well established, robust Bitcoin interactive network.

Would you explain me what is not crap? Raising $10.7Mn from the masses and call people trolls via your official Twitter account?
well, if one is trolling he is a troll
What's to explain?

well there are loads of idiots fudding and trolling....so got to say things as they are, innit.....

You guys need to understand that Twitter is not bitcointalk. Anyways, good luck.

indeed, judging by https://twitter.com/FAILCommunity

At least get your facts straight, before making such statements. You are like an amoeba in cryptocurrencies to me and the rest of this community, which is build on trust and it happens to be with 12 members from 10 different countries. The account is also listed on 100s of fintech lists followed by thousands of people for a reason. It's easy to "invest" $5 in a ICO and then jump on others, while "defending" your beloved project.

P.S. Good luck to Iconomi!

/thread

oh please.

The twitter account of your project is littered with retarded memes and therefore makes your argument moot.

It's like the pot calling the kettle black.

You've been bitch-slapped,

Take it like a man and buck up.

Also, don't knock $5 man, it can get you sucky sucky in some places for a looonnnnggg time.

Just "Fact-checking" twitter.com/FAILCommunity . You said it is followed by "followed by thousands of people" ?!

That's a FALSE statement. (BIG FAIL @FAILCommunity)  Tongue

I was absent in last the 24-48 hours and I see there is a lot of pages , could somebody tell me Is there is any updates ? last information I got is that the ICNs will be launched at 18 October - Tuesday ? anything else I should know about ? (If It's going to be listed in an exchange ,If we should change wallets , If they switched to Lisk instead of ETH , anything rly... )

ETH will hard fork on Oct 18 to fix DDoS issues, therefore ICN team decided to do the responsible thing and delay launch by 1 week for network stability & testing purposes.

ICN will launch on Oct 25.

Launch price prediction : $3 to $5 per token.  Cool

Get those Lambos & Teslas ready.

Where you find this prediction? This looks good

Because ICONOMI & Cashila have an unprecedented ability to bring in FIAT INVESTMENTS, not to mention the stellar team behind them.

They are actually managing the situation quite well in my opinion, and they aren't cracking too much under pressure and letting the people do what they want to do while they get their stuff done. It's quite easy to understand once you get past the FUD and just trash posting that is in this thread; try sifting through the posts, as well as ICONOMI's posts. You'll be surprised.

Agreed. Devs are well known public figures, not like the trolls hiding behind usernames.
