It looks like there may be a problem with the infinitecointalk.org website.

In any case, after doing some research on the other Android Wallets, we have been able to determine how to get more peers connect to the Wallet using IRC discovery and a means of saving peers to a database (like peers.dat).  This feature will be included in the next update of the android wallet.

Hi Tecshare, since the hash rate is so low at IFC, shall we consider to add POS to IFC to increase the security?
POS might actually make our network MORE insecure. Just look at what happened with Whitecoin.

Pile of money? We have had about $3000 worth IFC donated for development. I know with that pile of money we should be going global! Additionally what have you done to move us forward? The development team is made of VOLUNTEERS whom you talk to like they are your paid employees and we owe you something. We have been working nonstop to move IFC forward at great personal cost to ourselves. What have you contributed? Note: buying a bunch of IFC and waiting everyone else to work to make you rich doesn't count. I haven't seen you participate in any way in the community, so this leads me to believe people such as yourself siting on the sidelines with a pile of coins complaining we aren't making you rich, are the problem.

Better accept people's legitimate criticism and move on.

Cryptocurrencies aren't 100% community based, there is no such a thing.
Cryptocurrencies do have community support but DEVS hold the key for accepting or declining any major decision. In other words you're the head of the community. As the boss you can also do a lot by your own. Delegating everything to volunteers willing to help isn't the way to go. Just take a look at the ongoing work of other developpers. Are they sharing your way of thinking or acting like responsible people ?

IFC as a brand is worth 2.5 millions of dollars. So I think it deserve some efforts. You are the boss of the project and hold the keys to make it grow x 1000. This is what I meant by "sitting on a pile of money". I am a successful entrepreneur and team manager in life, I know what it is to work on a project. Recently I've been trying to help a few alt-coins. For example, this was my rebranding proposal for DRK http://silver47.eu/indexdark.html Also I worked with TIPS, LEAF and BLACKCOIN.

Let's be honest, the one who designed the new website and forum definitely did more to IFC in a single move than you ever did. Have you think about asking him to join the developpers team as marketing specialist ? That would be a wise decision.

If you have no idea about what to do to help IFC, then take a look at your competitors. For example, http://www.blackcoin.co/bounties/
This is a simple policy to boost adoption. There is so much more that could be done. Should I teach you everything ?

I told you I bought 1 BITCOIN IFC and got burned badly. They're not worth anything right now. So please do not tell me such BS. I am not IFC billionaire. You are unprofessional and have no idea about how to run a business. Just look at the way you answered to my rant.

Enough, I'm out of this.

You know I run the forum and the website and found the guy who volunteered his time to do this right? Funny how all the blame is mine but none of the credit. Where was Infinitecoin before I joined? Oh yeah it was dying and no one was doing a thing about it until I rallied people together and found a developer. Additionally I am paying for everything out of my own pocket, including the developer. Please excuse me if my exhaustive personal efforts are not meeting your satisfaction. It is quite simple for you to do nothing and judge my work from the sidelines. Again please remind me what if anything you have contributed to Infinitecoin's success?

I need some help testing a new social network for crypto enthusiasts called CoinSocial.net. The website just went online yesterday and is now ready for testing.

My idea was to build a social network free of advertising with a robust back-end and premium feature set. This will eventually require a tiny annual fee per user to become sustainable.

One thing I've observed is how fragmented the cryptocurrency community has become. So this website will welcome the entire altcoin population and serve as a hub for sharing ideas, tech support, and efficient networking.

To help attract beta testers I'm offering a 99% InfiniteCoin discount that will extend through the entire month of May 2014. So basically you get a free one-year membership (cost will be around 6 cents) for helping test the system if you pay in IFC.

Please understand that this is just the second day of beta testing so expect a few bugs. Here's the link: https://www.coinsocial.net

Thank you and I hope to see a few of you there! :-)

This was the first coin I invested in back in 2013. Luckily I bought very few (still 1BTC)
What I can say now. Incapable dev. Zero marketing sense. Zero movement. And now he is not even replying to technical inquiries.

IFC weight more than 2.5M dollar. To see such incapable people passively sitting on such a pile of money is just blowing my mind. So far the only positive point was the website and IFC rebranding. The only reason why this coin still havent sunk is because IFC arrived way before the other altcoins. This will not last one more year before it's marketcap get divided by 10.

Still holding (already lost 90% or more). In case if a miracle happen.

PS: if you want technical support go to our forum www.infinitecointalk.org. The warning in 1.8.7 can be ignored if you updated to 1.8.7 and will be fixed shortly. It is a result of rushing out the heartbleed fix asap. All of these technical issues are on the forum if you just bother to look.

I have downloaded and installed my wallet 1.8.7, then deleted all files from infinitecoin folder except of course for wallet.dat.

Why is the wallet program still suggesting: Mandatory Update to v.1.8.7 at the bottom of the window AND also when I startup the application I get a notification window telling me the same?

As far as I can tell the blockchain is updating itself, so should I disregard these notifications or is there something missing?

I am getting the same message and I also already have 1.8.7. I just ignore it.

ok then Tecshare, please this one is for you!
