   1. Injective Burn Auction launched with over $700,000 worth of INJ burned in less than a month

   2. Product: Injective Pro crossed $1 billion in total volume traded in less than a month. Injective Chain reached over 15 million transactions processed since going live in November. Injective launched an all-new gas fee deposit program as well as a DMM Program. Injective Improvement Proposal 93 passed to carry out a major mainnet enhancement that added a staking requirement to Injective Astro rewards among other upgrades.

   3. Integrations & IBC: Injective listed Terra UST pairs and the first ever decentralized LUNA perpetuals which reached $50M in volume in just a week. The Injective Bridge onboarded the Terra blockchain via Cosmos IBC, Injective crossed 100,000 price feed requests through IBC.

   4. Ecosystem: Picasso Exchange introduced a swap interface, the Terra community built Lunatics Exchange on top of Injective, Unlimited Exchange introduced a new interface and Huobi Pool started to build a Huobi relayer on Injective.

   5. Community Updates: Injective hosted a PS5 trading party and two Christmas treasure hunts, new Injective Stargazers were introduced, and the second reward drop wrapped up for Injective Astro. AMAs for the month included the Chainlinked Podcast and a Market Maker AMA with LedgerPrime. Injective validator Orman created a Injective stats dashboard. GuildFi became the first Injective premier metaverse listing.

Injective Mainnet Phase Two: Canary Chain Launch



We are thrilled to launch the Injective Canary Chain which marks the official start of our mainnet phase two! The Canary Chain was officially deployed on June 30 at 1:00 PM UTC with the genesis state found here.

Starting today, users will be able to stake INJ with genesis validators on the Injective Chain. In addition, individuals can bridge over any ERC-20 token onto the Injective Chain using the Peggy Bridge. All governance functionalities have also been released on the Injective Chain, so users can begin to create and vote on new markets on the Injective exchange. Lastly, anyone will soon be able to create and underwrite insurance funds that are needed to trade derivatives markets.

Injective is Collaborating with Formation Fi to Create Risk Optimized Yield Farming Derivatives

Yield Farming Derivatives: A Recap

Last year, Injective launched the world’s first yield farming derivatives on our Solstice V2 testnet which allowed anyone to access derivatives that tracked stablecoin yields on protocols such as Yearn Finance.

On a basic level yield farming involves locking digital assets into a protocol which then earns the owner yield. Normally by adding tokens into a liquidity pool, a user (or “yield farmer”) is effectively able to provide additional liquidity for trades or other functions. Liquidity mining allows yield farmers to earn more tokens in addition to the usual return in exchange for their help in providing more liquidity.

Injective’s first yield farming derivative tracked the performance of $1,000 USDT on Yearn Finance’s USDT3pool. Since users can access yield via decentralized derivative contracts, they can circumvent the usual high gas fees or complex interfaces that tend to hamper DeFi adoption.
