There's a small usability issue with the GUI wallet on Linux (not sure about other OS).
After you start it, it begins to sync until the latest block was sync'd. The status bar says e.g. "Synchronization: 49536/49536 (Less than 1 minute ago)".
But you are not able to send Iridium. When you go to "Send Iridium" you will see the purple circle (which is full) and it says: "You will be able to send Iridium when the wallet is synchronized. Synchronizing 49534/49533"
Which is kind of weird in itself.
In the upper right corner the "Total balance" isn't shown either and the circle keeps rotating. Same for the small circle in the lower right corner. The three main tabs under "Overview" namely "Balance", "Mining status" and "Pool stats" are greyed out with rotating circles over them.
8 peers. So daemon seems okay.
After waiting for an hour, maybe longer, eventually "Send Iridium" becomes available. I am not sure however, maybe I restarted meanwhile and that's why it worked suddenly.
It's like the wallet isn't talking properly to its own built-in daemon. Why else would it not notice the daemon is fully sync'd at 49536 and instead refresh to only "49534/49533"?
EDIT: Sometimes the problem re-appears while the wallet is open. E.g. status bar "49548/49548" but under "Send Iridium" it says "49548/49547".
I'am aware of this :
after syncing the blockchain, the wallet check the transactions for your address, This is what you see under the send wallet tab with the circle.
I will correct the formulation, it should be written : checking transactions...
If it takes too loooooooooong time (it should not be an hour but 2-3 minutes if you did not open your wallet since 2 days ), I suggest you to reset your wallet (file menu, reset wallet), your transactions will be resynced (not the blockchain) and if it does not solve the problem, save your wallet file, stop the application, flush the ~/.iridium folder, start the application and open your saved wallet file.
