the attack is called torpedo which means TRacking via Paging mEssage DistributiOn, once the malicious actor has verified your device information they can then launch a piercer attack (Persistent Information ExposuRe by the CorE netwoRk) which will allow them to tie your device to your phone number which they can then use to get call information real time
this has been confirmed to be a vulnerability in every united states cellular network provider

Any information of this being a vulnerability in any other country?
I guess if their system is the same used in USA it might have it, but what about Japan for an example? AFAIK Japan uses a different technology than USA.

This is a protocol vulnerability so any country using this protocol has the same issue. i dont know what japan or other countries use but i know many western countries use 4g
