Im mining Ekrona on forkpool. Have been wondering what that big fish is doing there all this time. He has about 18,000 KH/s and usually at the top. Then I figured there is something I have missed.. Then i discovered -> Average of 10 last sells on cryptorush is about 0.000065 BTC per 1 KRN at the moment. 1 BTC ~ 600 dollars today. 1 MH/s gives you about 100 KRN a day. Lets do the math. 0.000065*600 = 0.039 Dollar so in other words 1 KRN = 0.039 Dollar. 100 KRN * 0.039 Dollar = 3.9 Dollar per day. Big Fish gets 1,840.924*0.039 = 71-72 Dollar per day. Maybe its not that bad mining Ekrona after all   So its basically the most profitable coin to mine right now according to cryptowarz. Maybe I should have kept quiet about this secret.

I like more "not only for Viking" idea in the coin than just next country coin.
A coin from the old times of Vikings with hammers is more attractive for me than modern eur look

Personally i think the success of the coin not depend so much from the developer. It depend from the community that support it. Nobody will google for eKrona because nobody know for it. The community need to write and spare to the world for the coin not to wait developer to do all. You have a coins? Then care for them to have a value. Developer do his job. He give a great coin with great opportunity with a 0% premine.

First time when I hear for bitcoin have only the official website and this forum. Nobody talk with Satoshi and ask him to promote the coin. For this btc is so successfully. Community that believe it it do it.

So stop to ask from the developer to be a writer.

This coin's developer is too inactive for the coin to succeed. If a person who just finds out about the coin Googles it, they get a virtually dead Twitter and Facebook. They get to look at a bitcointalk community with an absent developer.

How can a developer be so absent when country/region coins are getting so much attention lately?

Yeah I think we need to move quickly to capitalize on the potential of this coin.  A week is an eternity in the crpyto world, especially with all the coins to choose from.

I agree. The Viking thing has to go. Can we vote on a new slogan?

And the coin's Twitter page can't be so dead. It's been four days since the last update. Can the official Twitter just be passed to someone who has time to promote the coin? It's obvious that the original developer doesn't have time to be as active as needed. First it was Auroacoin, and then it was Spaincoin. New country/region specific coins will keep passing up Ekrona if we don't get the word out. An active social media presence would help a lot.

Could update the image of the coin, if a new version has been decided on.

What needs to be updated on the website?  I think the site looks pretty good.

The thread title needs to be updated imo.  Lets remove the viking stuff and focus on no premine and coin rarity.

Yep you're right.
I'm willing to contribute for bounties, but we need more people that are willing to contribute.

In a way this is good news, in another it's not. This will just attract the god damn whales but on the bright side it might get listed on cryptowarz. We really need some publicity and shops that accept ekrona as an payment. That will bring this coin the value it deserves. We at least need that one pizza guy every other alt coin has had. Who is willing to go out for a hunt? Should we set up a wallet for the bounties? Who is in on that?

This is true. The Finnish people did not get to vote if they were to accept euro. The parliament consisting of 200 members has them self stated that they knew better then the Finnish people if they want euro or not, which is rather funny considering that such an change should be voted on. This has been a major backfire in Finland and many regret the decision and there has even been a lot of talk about jumping off the euro-train.
