how many coins i need to put in 1 block to get the fastest flat reward? is it 7 hours? also the flat reward is still 1000 coins and yearly interest 7%?

thanks

Good question.  There is  room for low entry, high staking coins.

There is actually no direct answer here since diff is retargeted on every block so it all comes donw to how much weight stakers have at any given PoS block.

You know what they say "If it first you dont sucseeed , try and try again".

Why no answer to this?  I can understand if there isn't much of a team that wants this coin to succeed at this early part of the game, but the developer should be willing to answer questions like this.  An interested team helps the price grow.

There has to be really good staking advantages for new coins to succeed, or something else that attracts people to them.   It sounds like this coin could be it, but it would be good to know how things are panning out without having to try for oneself.    I hate having to read through 30+ page threads for answers.

Why no answer? Because even i deserve some holiday time with family! One of the most important aspects of cryptocurrency is research so i would suggest you read and i dont just mean this thread.

I would gladly reply if i understood what is the question. LanaCoin is PoW minable and PoS stakeable crypto. Sha256d. Mining and staking diffuculty is retargeted on every block so in both cases it diff is readjusted multiple time per day. Lana has zero premined and had a fair launch. Regarding the advantages in reality one must compete for PoW and PoS blocks there is no quarantee that if you aquaire 1M Lanas that you will find 1,10 or 100 PoS blocks. Same goes for PoW. Its is possible that some big miner comes at exactly the same moment when you start to mine and you share of hashing power will become less relevant or your pool share less rewarding.

Cheers.

I will try it now and see if this would help. How about running lanacoin on another computer and just replacing the wallet file from my original pc to my second computer?

Yeah, that would do the job, but keep that wallet.dat somewhere safe as a second copy in a case something goes wrong. But again, conf file should be in that lana folder no matter what pc you use. But as said, you can play around and explore different options.

Thank you I will definitely try that. I already created the .dat file and that doesn't seem to work. Unless I need to let it wait for a few more hours. We will see. After creating that dat file I now get 0 connections to the lana network. But then again I will wait.

Eight hours straight everyday still no progress. I think the only solution is really put it on another computer. what if I could install another Operating system emulator on my machine and put the lanacoin app there? Do you know of any good operating system emulators so that I can add another win 7 so win xp emulator on my machine?

Vbox for example, Vmware workstation depends if you are looking for a free or commercial solution.

For hours, my lanacoin wallet just says "Out of sync". Even if I have a fast internet. Are there any problems right now with the wallet? I am not sure what is going on and how to troubleshoot it without losing my coins.

Do others get the same thing? I am not sure what is going on.

Hopefully somebody can see this. Thank you.

I believe your internet bandwidth doesn't matter, my wallet syncs every time i start it so it must be something wrong at your side.. Is this one time event or ...  Have you changed something lately.? And don't worry about losing your coins, as long you dont delete your wallet.dat. What about your Lanacoin.conf file? Do you have it? Nodes are entered in this file?

I went to %appdata%\roaming\Lanacoin but I was not able to find any Lanacoin.confg file. Though the wallet file is there and I can see it. I am not sure if something happened to the file let me see if firewall has something to do with this.

You must create your own .conf file then copy and past the addnodes. But do this while the wallet is closed not open. Also remember please to back up wallet.dat file as many times as you can. Keep backups everywhere.

I know one can create a config file by using notepad. But can someone teach me how to create that lanacoin.conf file and WHAT to put inside the said file. I am clueless I am afraid.

Ok, do this. Go to that famous folder "Roaming" and search for "Lanacoin" folder. In that folder create new text file (file with *.txt extension) and name it to Lanacoin. So far your file shoud look like this "Lanacoin.txt".

Now, open that file and copy this text below:
