Thats a pretty good speed.

I have a core i3, which is 3.1ghz to your 3.2ghz and I only get 12-13kh/s using the same app and same settings.

Seems the i5 isnt just a name.

About variance - sometimes you can generate more shares than average, sometimes less. It depends on your luck.

Thanks, i knew about variance, but i didnt expect it to be so pronounced.

I would have replied sooner, but i just had net down for a couple of hours.

Right after my last post I hit 3 shares within a few minutes.

Still, a small reduction in difficulty wouldnt hurt, 256x is a bit overboard.

Well its just the fact that i dont seem to generate shares now, i should generate a share every 17minutes according to your post, after 30 minutes i havnt generated any.

Ill keep my client going for an hour but it seems now that Im not getting any reward for doing so.

With difficulty 1.0 and 65.536 khash/s you will generate approximately 1 share per second, for example. With difficulty 256 it will be approximately 256 times slower.

So, may be not useful on CPU, if you don't like variance.

Well after 30 mins still have not solved a share. Does this mean that your pool is no longer usefull for cpu miners?

Probability of solving share isn't depend on this. It depends only on hashrate.

Payouts are performed after 120 confirmations, or immediately if block is orphaned.

from now, using this pool, all runs well, but i cant find how payouts works ? any autopay limit, or payout after 120 confirms i am not sure, on another pools i everytime see some threshold
