yes the power usage is different, but the card always runs that hot, it's the fan speed that changes.
and when power consumption is very low, it means the algo is not well optimised ;-)

Well I'm not good in programming, but anyway Scrypt hashrate is 10 times slower than X11 on my GPU for example, but it runs hot.

scrypt is one of the best optimized algos out there.
that's why it runs hot.
it hashes slower than x11 because tha algo is inherently slower.
a single hash takes more instructions and, more importantly, memory accesses.
when groestlcoin came out, its power consumption was very low.
the kernel was so slow it is now 3x faster and power consumption has gone up to the same level as other algos, like keccak for example.

Hm... need to check updates for ccminer.  Smiley

Hopefully KBomba's Compute 2.1 version of the ccminer gets Lyra2RE support.

I'm ready to tip some reasonable amount of LYB out of my pocket for someone doing that.

Also there's something we all need coming soon  Wink  Don't want to tell everything in advance just to prevent failing.

When you will tell us?

it's not 'cause of the kernel, it runs that hot with all algos ;-)

That's strange... Maybe for AMD is ok, I don't know. But different algos on my GTX 770 warms different...
For example scrypt burns card around 80C after 5 min mining, X11 around 70, Fresh, Quark etc around 65-67...

Include moment when I have custom Noctua fans on GPU at 800-1000 RPMs.

no worry, it's a reference design card, been running that hot for more than a year without problems.

Maybe it's not so critical but anyway it's psychological barier for me..  Smiley

Thank you for posting online nodes.

Also, the official nodes are listed in the first post I keep updated constantly Smiley

The official ones are located in EU area;

95.215.46.10
95.215.46.87

I make sure the official ones will always work.
