I feel bad for all those panic sellers who sold at 1 sat and will need to buy back at 2...
They sell 30x of their usual amount of coins. It is the same as sell at 30 satoshi! They are not loosing, just making good money. Remember, mining IS 30 TIMES more profitable now, until wall at 1 is standing.

Assuming that people selling are only miners who sold what they mined since the reward changed ! But as a 25 BTC sell occured this morning, it's far from covering the current extra reward of the blockchain. Most of those who sold were traders who bought at 1 sat and will need to buy back at 2 if another 20 BTC sell doesn't occur...

Edit : who bought at 1 sat, or more...
Not only miners, they want just sell before price drop to 5 litoshi.
The 85 ltc buy wall at 40 litoshi on poloniex already cancelled.

I can make code fix:
            nSubsidy = (310000 - ((nHeight - 310000) * 0.01)) * COIN;
is not right.
What we want to be?

I have windows and linux computer ready for compile new wallets, jus give me right code.

1/ nSubsidy = (10000 - ((nHeight - 10000) * 0.01)) * COIN; if we keep 10K reward

2/ nSubsidy = (1000 - ((nHeight - 1000) * 0.01)) * COIN; if we make it 1K reward

You guys confirm ?
Don't want to quess. Are you sure about the code?

I think
nSubsidy = (310000 - ((nHeight - 10000) * 0.01)) * COIN; if we keep 10K reward

Yes right ! Sorry my bad

We can make hard fork with right code.
How about if we drop block reward stable 1,000 for rest of life as many asking?

+1
Seems 24 billions number of coins is enough excessive amount for circulation.

We have more tha 25 billions of coins already and yes, i vote for this solution now.
it will kill the coin
A coin is only interesting when you can get some... if nobody can't get any coin (except early adopter...) there won't be any interest in it.
(nobody will mine 1000 coin/block at 1sat... and the price won't increase fast)

What if we make reward 10,000 descending by 0.1 or 0.05 every block and not 0.01 until we reach 1,000?

It isn't (in my opinion) a good idea (as it just advantage big bag holders)
May-be once alcurex will be in business so there will be more incentive on mining MRC.
But for now it is too early and will scare away the small miners (and those having already large amount, won't see any interest in keeping mining for practically no reward).
Doing this will kill either the coin or the network (or both)

It should decrease gradually (as planed) to 1000

This is why that happen:
Coin is not broken, but it is not correct if there need to be count down for 0.01 steps:

Code:
else if(nHeight >= 310000)     // Decreasing block size, slowing down with -0.01 steps.  ** Blocks: 310001 - rest
        {
nSubsidy = (310000 - ((nHeight - 310000) * 0.01)) * COIN;
if (nSubsidy <= 1000) nSubsidy = 1000; //
Actually it count down correct but not from 10,000coins, but from 310000 coins.

That means we have an unwanted dilution of 300.000 coins every 32 seconds, about 810 MILLION coins every day this is not fixed.

The question is and was: How and WHEN will this be fixed.

That's pretty clear. But the problem is not broken coin or not, reward is 30 times higher, so price will be around 30 times lower.
chill...
It just need to be fixed (clearly asap) what was the reward before (I lost track, since I didn't mine it for quite some time) ?
