if I buy 100,000 mintcoin, how much gain with pos?

A the the current rate, roughly 1,250 per month.

100,000 * .15 = 15,000

15,000 / 12 = 1,250

thanks

Has anyone else encountered this? I was testing new wallets over the weekend and I think it somehow messed with Mintcoin.
Nope. Never seen that before.

Here a screen cap of the mintings this month.

http://www.azillion.com/samples/mintcoin.jpg

I had to link to it because it would not insert, sorry.

So..... any ideas as to why the minting was 40% or so less on June 22 than on June 01?
when I actually had more coins on June 22 because of previous minting.
Has anybody else had this happen to them? etc......

Do you keep your wallet online all the time? When did the coins mint before the minting on June 01?

I put wallet online every few days to update and leave it up over night. But it's mostly not online. I can't leave wallets running 24/7 as I need the horsepower to edit 4K videos.

Question:
Did mintcoin POS just half? (or so)
I minted on
June 01 (approx 352,000 minted)
and just now on
June 21 (approx 196,000 minted)
and the later was 1/2 (or so) of the former.
What happened?
More than likely, the minting got split, and if you keep your wallet unlocked, another minting will happen shortly for the other half. Check to see if you still have coins mature. The network splits up your minting if you are minting quickly after your coins mature. The reason it does this is to help ensure there is a balance in difficulty over time, and gradually reduce the spikes of weight when larger than average amounts of coins become mature. After you wait 20 days, your coins mature and will attempt to start minting. If they mint within 10 days, they will be split up. If they don't mint within 10 days, then they won't be split up.

The posted amounts were with 2 mintings each time. I just added together for totals.
June 01 was 2x 176,000 mint
June 21 was 2x 98,000 mint
considerably less than 20 days ago

So I'm wondering what changed, was it planned, etc...... That's a pretty good size bite outta the POS

You say you had 2x in June 01, so the next minthing will be doubled again... so you will probably expect 4x transactions after June 21.

So far there was only the 2 mintings on June 21, so basically it dropped 40% or so roughly this month.

You should still have mature coins with an estimated time of minting pretty soon.  You should expect 2 more minting transactions to come through anytime. Just leave your wallet on for several hours or a few days. I don't think the reward has dropped yet. It is not estimated to happen until about Sept-Oct.
It doesn't always happen exactly the same time...sometimes it can take several days longer to find a block, especially since it is splitting it, there is less weight. Don't worry, you will eventually get your minting and will have more the longer it takes.

Simple answer: Supply & Demand

The 'master' depth chart helps display the strong demand for MINT right now.

Simple answer: Supply & Demand

Some possibilities: The minting reward will be decreasing by 66% within about 1 more year. Currently 15% annual rate, dropping to 10% in a few months. ...By about this time next year, the reward drops another 50% to 5% annually. So the coin is going to get rarer, and it is a great coin. I like the name too, MINT. You can start minting Mintcoins more mintcoins just by holding onto them. No mining equipment required. Purchasing the mintcoins is like purchasing mining gear too because it is built into it - because the coins self-replicate themselves; it is very efficient. So the more you buy, the more you will mint new coins, and the more you buy, also makes the price rise, so you can get compounding returns on the future mintings. It is actually a very sweet deal. There is a limited supply, so increasing demand, causes a rise in price. Sort of like how one-of a kind art can be worth mega-millions, and tend to rise in price over time, MINT is unique too.

Still waiting for Cryptsy to fix their wallet -_-

There is what, probably 500,000,000 coins trapped there right now.

That is probably, why you see such strange price action. ..the coin is wanting to rise, but is being held back. Price is very cheap on Cryptsy but those coins are basically worthless at the moment, so coins on other exchanges are going for more, but they don't want to disconnect too much from Cryptsy ... So the market is officially confused.  Roll Eyes

Yeap, you couldnt have said it better! I dont really want to buy at cryptsy because knowing them the wallet may be in maintance for another month, but when it opens you can get lots of cheap coins there!
I will sure keep an eye for that.

THanks both for the info

Cryptsy is fixed now, in case you didn't know.

Hey guys I put up a free version of my explorer for MINT. It is located at mint.presstab.pw. If as a community you would like to pitch in a few btc or mint (I wouldn't mind having a little stake bag to hold) then I can add the indexing for full address capability (balance charts, richlist, etc).

Hope you guys enjoy!

Thank you! Now, nearly all my favorite coins, have my favorite block explorer.
