Your math is wrong, you currently have 82876499 in your wallet and you started with 81474800.  This is 1.72%.  So you don't have to worry about your 13% interest going anywhere.

No, my math is fine. The client is incorrectly displaying 93 million.

But yes, I agree that Mint is a mid to long term coin. I'm not into short term pump and dumps. The only alts I'm interested in are NXT and Mint.

Yup! But don't throw anymore BTC at it. I talked to the guys on the IRC and they admitted they know the BC voting is being automated but they say there is nothing they can do about it.. But they said they would take this into consideration when they choose the winners.

Have you upgraded to v1.7 of the wallet? If so, when you did, did you delete everything from your %appdata%\roaming\MintCoin folder except for your wallet.dat file such that you downloaded the entire blockchain again?

I'm sensing that my 13% per month interest is about to vanish... Smiley

Assuming you bought at the lowest in the month of february @21 satoshis per mint, it was worth about 17.1 BTC.
The current price of .12 (you could argue .11) satoshis with 82876499 is worth about 9.95BTC.

We won't even factor in the drop in BTC.

If everyone is getting rich off the interest, where is the money coming from?  Of course it would be true in this case if we were still at 21 satoshis, but everytime we fall a point, it hurts more then any interest you can gain.  A fall from 13 to 12 is 8.3% loss in what your mint is worth.

It's only a matter of time before people realize the price isn't going to go up take their losses and re-invest into coins that are rising and try to make up some of those losses.

alphaminer you have never posted a positive comment on here. Perhaps some people have more patience than you. There are a lot of things being worked on right now.

Wallet is showing a balance of 1017675.18

Hey qwerty and 5flags,
Have you upgraded to v1.7 of the wallet? If so, when you did, did you delete everything from your %appdata%\roaming\MintCoin folder except for your wallet.dat file such that you downloaded the entire blockchain again?

Did exactly, that and reindexed the whole block chain, still having this problem. Maybe wallet software issue? block explorer is displaying correct balance.

Hey guys any info / progress on the Android wallet? I promise to throw in another 100 k mint if the minting Android wallet is released before other PoS coins have it (blackcoin, faircoin...). Please Mr. Beaverslayer add it to the main bounty!

Good question, any progress on the android wallet for mobile?

The client reports my balance to be around 93 million as of last night. The block chain suggests otherwise:

Why might that be?

Due to the relative stability, I am beginning to see it as a high-interest savings account!
Yep. I am planning and hoping the prices stay at these levels long enough for me to buy ~30,000,000 coins in a few weeks which will generate ~$30 a month at current prices of 15 sats. If more people do the same thing, the price will start really going up and keep rising, and if the coin goes from 15 satoshis to 30 satoshis that is $60 per month, which I think could easily happen. It could even go a lot higher! Mintcoin could make mining obsolete.
This is what I've been doing as well, slowly but surely, I've been building my millions of this coin to see how it plays out.
I got in when it was very low and have been mining ever since. I'm planning on picking up a few btc worth with it at this very low price point to add to my collection.

No, u are not to blame, u r alright. The f*cking devs are to be blamed, what a f*cking joke LMAO
btw the other link u just posted doesnt work at all cuz it misses all the DLLs.no offense tho

People have different skills and they focus on different things. Just relax.  Smiley

I am relaxed, just laughing about the premine-managers of this coin who call themselves devs

So lame when a dev from another coin has nothing else to do than bitching about a competitor...
If you weren't here just to troll, you would at least have read the last page and found this post...

I'm wondering if there is a bug in the client in how it reports balance. I'm convinced my balance is too high, other users seem to suggest it is too low. I am going to attempt to transfer my MNT to another address tonight to confirm whether it's a true balance.

And what are you contributing...other than noise?

He has a good point tbh. There's a reason why the coin price is slowly fading and trading volume is tiny.
