when I open my mac wallet it says "error loading blkindex.dat"  and wallet closes after. any solutions to this?

If you're on windows, go to %AppData%/MintCoin, and delete the blkindex.dat file then re-load. That should do it.

Interestingly enough, this is one of the things that happened to our pool wallet last night.  I think that there was something that happened on the blockchain that caused some wallets to corrupt their files.  I think we'll be seeing a lot of this today...

Aaaaand our wallet just FAILED again. Sad  I'm beginnign to think this coin is seriously broken!  Pool will be back soon.

I am too! it's a shame because I have a lot of coins on a pool but I can't put them in my wallet.. I have tried literally every suggestion every helpful person as posted on this thread and I can't get my wallets to sync on mac or windows.. i'm lucky if I even get enough active connections to make the wallet look like it's syncing but even at that point it's no use  Cry

edit: holy shit my windows wallet sync'd!!!

 When I launch my MINT wallet the first two nodes that is finds are
144.76.64.123
81.95.191.233

then is connects to these ones
211.28.143.54
89.71.42.172

so you many just want to put these in your config file.

addnode=144.76.64.123
addnode=81.95.191.233
addnode=211.28.143.54
addnode=89.71.42.172

When the wallet opens it will try to connect to each node and it will output the results in the
'C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Mintcoin\debug.log' file.

You will see it trying to connect to the peers.

Code:

Is MintPal.com ok?

I've had one transaction that was calculated incorrectly. In contact with their support about it.

when I open my mac wallet it says "error loading blkindex.dat"  and wallet closes after. any solutions to this?

use linux or windoze

even with windows my wallet won't sync I been trying to get it to sync for days now.. I finally got an active connection after doing this config file but now it just won't sync. I will pay someone mint if they can help me get my wallet to fully sync  Cry

put the following in your conf file called MintCoin.conf  (uppercase/lowercase is important for linux and macs):

Then go into options and tell the wallet to launch on startup, it may take awhile but it works

if the is the same config in the OP I have already done that and ran it for over 24 hours I have even closed it opened it and tried again I only getmaybe max 6 active connections trys syncing for a very long time and doesn't do anything for 24 hours. eventually the active connections will drop to nothing and this cycle just repeats.

doing this config file has allowed me to get some kind of active connection as I couldn't get one before but still having problems

Delete peers.dat and re-sync with the same .conf Smiley

If hashrapid is down/fail, why are they founding blocks?

I lost over 5k mint in orphans at hashstrike after the downtime

Orphan blocks will happen from time to time on any chain.  We've already found 7 valid new blocks since being live again, worth over 3.6 million coins, so you should have a good amount of "unconfirmed" balance from that Smiley

No problems, these things happen.  I just noticed this on the website:

"As a thank you to the miners sticking with us, we will be 0% fees for the next 24 hours.  In addition, we are adding on to that a BONUS for finding a block!  Each worker that is marked as finding a block will receive a bonus of 1,000 MINT credited directly to your account!"

Nice, thanks!

Not a problem!! We're more than willing to recognize when we have failures and we will go out of our way to make up to it to our miners.  You guys are our customers and we want you to be satisfied 110%!!

So for those of you who may have moved on to another pool- at least make sure to put us as your backup pool.  Smiley I promise that we're working hard to make sure we're one of the most stable pools out there.  We're adding extra server capacity, redundant wallets and stratum servers, and additional monitoring systems for every layer of the stack to alert us when issues pop up.  We are committed to running a set of stable, fair, and open pools without any shenanigans.  Thank you again everyone!!
