I guess maybe someone is planning to fork MON to lyra2re, or maybe they just plan to keep merge mining with Murray or execoin.
There's a lyra2re branch on github.. and its live on testnet. So if you want to test out merge mining with vertcoin (on testnet) you can. If the vertcoin guys manage to get consensus on their hardfork it can be merged (unless someone found issues during testing etc).

So, will this mean Monocle will switch over to Lycra the same time as VTC or at a later time? Or will it stay on the Scrypt-N algo?

The current Proxypool nodes are paying differently from P2pool. P2pools use PPLNS as what you described. Proxypools use CPPSRB, a method which is 'closer' to PPS.

coin has a clear goal - to be the little brother of VERTCOIN

MON 400 sat in poloniex
Hard to believe this coin was trading at 100k sat at one point. Still less than 2 mil monocle in circulation, any shift in demand and it is prone to wild price swings.

FYI: since the vertcoin guys released the sx code, the monocle public repo has been updated with sx code from the private repo too.

that's 250 btc ... For some people this BTC is pocket money for the day BUT
I have't indicated the total amount of Buy Orders in prev post, he is 202547 MON in All buy orders
Sell orders really jumped up sometime recently. There was more like 60-100k for the last couple months I think.
Many people forget how he made the Reward of this coin
MONOCLE reward start with 25 MON per block, NOW Reward is 16.92 MON per block
