Hi,yeah we have loads going on.

www.muecloud.xyz crowd funding starts this weekend I believe

As manager of the MonetaryUnit cloud mining service (or MUECloud), I would like to announce that the crowdfunding campaign is about to begin. The final steps are being made by preparing the design and functionality of the crowdfunding page for users to donate funds. Investors will get the chance to qualify for 3 months of free cloud mining and/or the ability to receive exclusive discounts when purchasing any amount of hashrate.

For the crowdfunding, we will be accepting BTC or even Paypal (can also pay with credit/debit cards) as payment methods. We could add MUE as an accepted payment method, but due to the fact that it is not accepted yet by most merchants, makes it somewhat difficult to use those funds directly from raised MUE funds and buy mining equipment (and exchanging MUE to BTC or fiat is not ideal due to exchange fees and such)

However, when the crowdfunding would be over and we will officially launch our cloud mining service, we will gladly accept MUE or BTC as payment methods to purchase mining hashpower. You will also get the ability to receive earnings from mining hardware either in BTC or in MUE. If you choose to receive your earnings in MUE, you will get an additional bonus (around 10 to 12% more).

In the meantime, if you choose to visit the site (http://muecloud.xyz) you will not see anything yet, as I am busy working with the crowdfunding page.  Grin
Pretty excited about this, and I think it's totally reasonable you won't be accepting MUE during the crowd fund.
You may want to consider the shifty tool to increase the reach of alts you accept during the crowdfund, just an idea.

Hi there,

Is there any news in terms of new projects being startef for MUE.
It's been a while now.
Hi,yeah we have loads going on.

We have a secret project by Roslinpl in beta in the next month or so

www.CoinPon.com undergoing pilot testing in several stores imminently

www.muecloud.xyz crowd funding starts this weekend I believe

www.Cryptocoinmarketcap.com development plans over the coming months

Plans to integrate "in wallet" MUE purchasing under development

www.BitcoinPrizeDraw.com to be developed and automated over the coming months

Still looking for an exchange to host our savings and loans services

All plans are targeted to generate profit, and using that to pay devs and a significant portion to be directed to MUE buy support on the exchanges.

I strongly believe we could see a 2000 sat MUE price towards the end of this year.

Other than that, nothing going on Wink

If your router is forwarding 29948 to your Pi, your other machines inside your network would use addnode=192.168.x.x (your local pi address)
Machines outside your local network (my Pi, for instance) would use addnode=x.x.x.x (your ISP assigned address) to connect to your Pi.

Great! Thanks for the information. The part of configuring the Raspberry Pi for machines outside my local network, was the thing that I really wanted to know. Just for curiosity, since the assigned ISP address could change from time, it is recommended to use a dynamic dns service. However, I am not sure if this could really work with the MUE node configuration. Let's say I link an ISP assigned address such as 0.0.0.0 to a dynamic dns service which gives me a domain such as: test.mydomain.com   Can I place that into the config file next to addnode, or does it has to be specifically an IP address?  Huh

Your new ip address will be propagated to the MUE network automatically. Addnode accepts domains as well as ips. https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Fallback_Nodes

About the ip address of the node (to be used in the config file with addnode=0.0.0.0) is it the same ip address of the Raspberry Pi, or does the server give you an specific one? Just asking, because once online I could provide the IP address for other peers to connect into.  Smiley

Yes MUE poker chips from crypto chips.net are excellent quality and make it a good collection for crypto lovers. You can also purchase this as well as other chips using your MUE. As I can see, there are some pretty good markets for MUE in the list above. It is a good thing how everything is going on with the project and I have no doubt that it will get the attention it deserves.

As I said before, crowd funding will be expected to launch this weekend and depending if we reach our target goal of funds raised, it will either last a month or less.

About setting a full MUE node with the Raspberry Pi, is it necessary to open a port or make port forwarding on a router for it to work? Sorry, for asking but I am just starting to make my first node.  Smiley
Hmmm beyond my abilities unfortunately, hopefully this post will help?

Thanks for your reply. I have been using these instructions to set up the node on my Raspberry Pi, however it doesn't say anywhere that you need to open a port in the router, so I guess that it would work the way it says in the instructions. I will test it out and see if it works.  Cheesy
Does this help?

Is there any way to get faster sync rates? The maximum number of connections I get is 8.

Try turning off upnp and opening/forwarding port 29948 to your node. You can also use bootstrap located here.

Thanks for sharing this information. I should have the full node ready between this weekend and next week. Continuing in the vein of creating "profitable" sustainable features to the MonetaryUnit project, I was thinking about the addition of "in wallet" MUE purchasing.

This is my thinking (though I will await technical feedback from UpgradeAdvice).

In wallet, we offer the ability to buy MUE (details to come)
We use the teams MUE funds to fund these purchases (i.e does not touch an exchange).
The price listed in wallet, is 5% above the current market price.
Once purchased, the BTC received is used to buy MUE which will replace the MUE fund wallet, plus the extra 5% BTC will then create extra buy support to increase the MUE price.

Benefits are:
1) Users are able to buy large quantities of MUE at a "fixed" price (might attract whales)
2) There is no negative affect on exchange volume as the BTC is used to buy MUE
3) MUE volume should in fact increase based on the 5% margin placed on the price
4) MUE price should start to slowly increase
5) Adds to the portfolio of projects designed to increase the MUE price and volume

I think creating multiple smaller functions that help to increase the MUE price is far more reliable than creating a single project which may fail.

Thoughts, suggestions, feedback?

I totally agree with your ideas! This will benefit MonetaryUnit in both price and demand. In-wallet MUE sounds excellent, and if it could be added the ability to buy MUE with your debit/credit card, then it would be perfect. Then users would exchange their fiat currency directly into their wallets for MUE. I am so excited that I am buying even more MUE and working more on MUECloud.  Cheesy
When are you planning on starting the crowd funding for MUEcloud?
How is the backend coming on or is that still in the works?

The crowdfunding campaign will begin this weekend for the MonetaryUnit (MUECloud) cloud mining service. Just adding the final touches to make the page where people could donate or contribute to the cloud mining service. I am making the preparations right now, to set up some MUE nodes. As you can see, in the following screenshots, shows my first MUE node based on Raspberry Pi 2. Still, there is some things needed to be done in order to set up the node, but I hope to have it ready in no time.  Grin

The above pictures and the ones from the mining gear which will be used for MUECloud, can all be seen at our Facebook page by visiting:

I particularly like the MUE poker chips, I grabbed a few of those from http://cryptochips.net/ and they are very good quality, as well as obviously they accept MUE for payment Smiley

Be sure to let us know when your crowd funding campaign is active, and I'll be happy to promote it through our Twitter and Facebook pages.
Whilst we cannot endorse you as an "official" service provided by the MonetaryUnit project, my gut feeling is you are doing this with good intentions, so I will be happy to add you to our ANN and homepage too.
Once again, thank you for stepping up to help this project, it's good you see the opportunity here to get involved and help shape the future success of MUE.

If you haven't visited yet, please check out http://www.CryptoCoinMarketCap.com/
This site was developed by one of our devs Sojuz88

I'm going to discuss with him in more detail about this, but I see an opportunity here to perhaps offer coins a paid for "pro" account.
They pay a nominal fee, perhaps monthly, that gives their coin access to more data, graphs, links, and maybe rotating banner advertising on the CCMC site too etc etc (ideas welcome).
Again, this can help to add another revenue stream, with a portion of the profits going to the dev, and the other portion going to buying MUE, again helping to increase the price.

I'm going to try to make more effort to discuss our ideas in this thread, as it certainly is for the community to provide feedback, and also helps show that this project is far from dead, and is only in it's infancy!

I think for sustainability, we need to incentivise devs to take a share of generated profits, with an equal part being directed to buying MUE on the exchanges, helping to increase price.

Everything has to be sustainable, and I tried for too long to support the price (with help), which is not sustainable.

We can do it a different way Smiley
