trading: forum members do private trades using NDL or other currencies
goods: instant noodles for NDL (for example)

Instant noodles is intriguing... though I'm not sure how private trades would be done appropriately.  You up to applying any of those ideas for some NDL?

What does instant noodles in this context even stand for? Is it the real food that should me more quickly exchangeable with NDL?

I believe that was the premise, in the context of "real food" being anything containing and or associated with actual noodles.

Its back.
I know I keep saying that I have to move it to better hardware. Going to happen sooner or later.
-Dave

What kind of hardware is needed?  Could it be run on a raspberry pi?
Not really, needs a bit more power. In theory it could work, in reality it would probably be more grief then it's worth.
I have a few older i5 based systems that I can probably cannibalize starting Sept 1st. Probably put one of those in.
-Dave

and the irony is i have an iquidus NDL instance (and others Smiley ) running on my 8core 24gig AMD linux system, but have only a consumer/home internet connection and so really cant invite outside access. especially with bell.ca network blocking http/https traffic (to all ports) transiting its network to what it deems to be 'home users'. i'm not even a bell.ca customer Sad
here it is, dont use it Smiley http://coins.dognose.net:3001/
my firewall will limit to 3 or 4 connections, so you may get denied, if your internet traffic routes over bell.ca 's network, it wont work either. explorer updates at 10 minute intervals.

have you looked into nlexch.com ?
its a small low volume exchange, but if you can convince them to list they dont charge for the listing.
https://www.nlexch.com/coinlisting

Never heard of them till now.
Will take a look this weekend.
Or you can try if you want to ;-)

You can get greedy, but we still need someway of getting the coin out there.
Need to get it on an exchange so we get some kind of exposure.

okay, one cpu core 6 hours day increased to two cpu cores 11 hours a day Smiley

oh wow...

nearly three years ago i put up a fulltime node at coins.dognose.net and set up a few hours daily cpu mining to keep the blockchain moving and a cheesy info website at http://coins.dognose.net/~ndl/ then promptly got busy and distracted and havent really looked-in since.
oh, and an Abe block explorer that was a totally useless lump of crap Smiley

i see a community has risen up now. even a new wallet assembled and an iquidus explorer.

coolness! Smiley

so, i limited myself to a few hours automated daily cpu mining after an initial period of real hashing to be 'fair' and not run away with a (more) massive booty of ndl, and to simply keep the chain moving and alive while the world slept.

is my moderate behavior no longer necessary, can i get greedy again? arrrrrr!

Cheesy

I need to get better hardware for the website / block explorer as I have to restart it at least once a week.
