Hello everyone, Its been a little while since I have updated things here, as you know we focus on our discord community pretty heavily.
So we have made several releases in the past 2 months or so repairing issues and generally making things in Neutron Much, Much better.
We have welcomed Adam Waldenberg (Chaozer) To our family, and he has worked hard on cleaning up Neutrons code, making many improvements to the
code base. We are currently on v3.06 and we are happy to report that the chain is more stable than ever! We have eliminated most of the bugs that were causing Crashes for many, and we have stopped the forking issues we were having. Bootstraps are no longer a bandaid for the situation, and are now only needed if someone starts from scratch and wants to get synced up quick. We have reopened all exchanges, and all services including Midas.Investments and Vault.Investments, Pandabot staking pool and wallets in discord are performing nominally.
***Chaozer has also built a custom build system for Neutron which is great for building wallets for all platforms efficiently and easily, even from source in its current state! This system is unique to Neutron, and was derived from Swipp. Written from scratch, this system is much nicer than gitian, works perfectly and will be well maintained. You can find the build system repo here:
https://github.com/neutroncoin/neutron-buildsystem please check it out, its very nice! We will build a support guide for it and have it up soon for those that need help with learning to use it, (Its very simple).
Now that we have corrected many bugs and issues, reorganize is working properly,, Invalidateblock functions properly, we are getting very close to where we want to be.
Now that we have solved the functionality issues we will be tweaking the way the masternode winners list works, and the way it is synced, to provide better consistency, and security. Once we have finished that, the next step is to advance our GUI wallets to an electronjs based wallet that we call ATOM,, This wallet will add tons of functionality, and also open the door for us to have a nice mobile wallet as well.
It is still our main goal to make NTRN spendable by creating our own card based payment service, something we call NeutronPAY, this will be a bit of time down the road but it is the direction we are heading, and will come sometime after the above mentioned development goals as the mobile wallet will be a very important part of that ecosystem.
We will always be looking for new friends and opportunities, in our time we have learned its good to explore.
Im proud to say that Neutron is truly unique in its code, it is its own hybrid, with much of its own custom code and is really looking sharp!
with so many just plain old clones out around these days, im happy that we are about to be celebrating our 5th year. We have truly had lots of ups and downs but we have always prevailed and we always will.
Lastly Id like to mention that Cryptobridge is finally delisting NTRN, which is actually refreshing considering they haven't updated their NTRN wallet in over a year. Deposits and withdrawals have been disabled that entire time. They were holding us for a ransom of .1 BTC per wallet update this entire time, an amount we refused to pay for something that should only take them 30 seconds to do, and should be considered just part of running an exchange. It is counter intuitive to the entire altcoin community for an exchange to operate in this manner. Graviex, TXbit, and Altsmarkets, are our current exchanges of choice as they all support communities and the spirit of community growth by not hammering projects for money to simply update clients, doing so just puts a strain on projects finances and totally hinders development or the amount of updates that truly make projects better due to the increased expense. Its a hindrance to repair something or make gradual improvements for a projects community if the project has to continuously pay BTC to keep an outside service up to date. This was all started after the Cryptopia heist, which displaced many projects markets. Cryptobridge could have become a savior to many but chose to be difficult instead. We will continue on regardless.
From, Oicu8, Depiyster, Kcres, Chaozer, Theron, EV, and Myself,
We want to thank everyone and anyone who takes the time to take a look at our story, our team, and our project.
We are in this for the long run, and we will continue to work to make it the best it can possibly be for many years to come.
Thanks.
