WHERE CAN I MINE PIGGYCOIN?
It is a Proof of Stake coin, so there is no mining like with Proof of Work coins. But if you own PIGGY you can stake it in your wallet for 3%/year.

Correct, technically DPOS, which is still POS but you may nominate a Delegate to stake, and only stake, on your behalf (moving to DPOS should improve the network stability immensely as more people should be able to stake by utilizing delegates).

My comment: Build on top of another network like Stellar? My vote goes to Stellar if so.

Will the principle of the coin remain the same and geared toward children? This will essentially be another relaunched of the same coin just on a newer platform?
This is exactly why I opened discussion, Stellar was not on my list as a potential, I will investigate it to see if it's even compatible with asset preservation.
Correct, the coins you have now would in fact exist on both chains but ongoing development of the X11/POS PIGGY will cease, just like Bitcoin and BitcoinCash (different implementation methodology, snapshot hard fork, though).
Principle and mandate of PIGGY will all remain the same. In fact my personal goal is to be able to transition to PIGGY full time in the capacity of chief architect with a daily focus on edutainment app development (instructional gamification with a PIGGY rewards model).
I am not shooting for a relaunch, more like a major version upgrade / core features enhancement that allows the PIGGY project to leap-frog its present day aged codebase in favor of leveraging the brain trust of a next gen blockchain technology. How to put it simpler ... PIGGY imo was never meant to be a blockchain innovator, lets align and leave those innovations to a superstar team of another open source cryptocurrency project and pull features in as we see fit.

Children get money by their own efforts through Piggycoin online education games, a very meaningful coin that can arouse children's interest in learning.
I used to pay my kids with piggycoin for chores. Now they have a hopelessly inflated notion of what a normal investment rate of return should be, LOL.

There are lots of great ideas but still, things will be based on our devs (the bounty idea is exciting--better bring this on the table by promoting and marketing and encourage people who can develop more the technology). Calling ALL the PARENTS around the globe

Blew off some dust on the good old piggy wallet and worked like a charm. 
Am a big fan of piggy and after reading what the plans are for the coin to be upgraded via a snapshot to have some later gen features sound exiting.
I agree that there needs to be a mechanism in place for ongoing development 100% with you neurocis, I will be exited to see what other features that you have planned will keep an eye out.
IMO I don't like the idea of building on top of another network like steller, I feel that piggy will be strong enough to have its own network.

So to answer your question directly, yes it looks I am the only regularly active member of the team, with greenmo being as active as RL permits at this time. The rest of the team simply moved on to other endeavors, greener pastures. One must realize that PIGGY was released just after the mtGox collapse and faced a couple of bullish years right from the start. Given the lack of value in the coin it was never able to reward it's team as it should.I agree a stronger Social Media presence is needed, but marketing & promotion is not my thing, and all of these positions should be hired and compensated by the project IMHO.
PIGGY is at a critical point in its life. Even though it's just turned 4, it's old, 2 generations old, and IMO in order to survive it needs a DNA transplant.
So ...
In surveying the landscape, looking at resources (me part time and a part-part time person), what should we do, what is a roadmap which insures PIGGY for another 5 - 10 years? This is my proposition, and assumptions ...
Firstly, it makes no sense to market a coin which is based on aged technology.
Secondly, "fixing" PIGGY will take approximately 480 hours of effort, and still eave it as an 1st generation blockchain.
Thirdly, there is no mechanism within PIGGY to sustain ongoing development once the team funds are exhausted (29.8 million PIGGY at present).
So ... PIGGY is dead, but ... Long live PIGGY!!!
This is my proposition as steward by default of PIGGY:
- We jump ship to a 2nd or 3rd generation blockchain technology.
- We do so by use of a snapshot hard fork.
- We preserve all assets and associate cryptographic claims to those assets in the new chain.
- We facilitate this transition by offering a bounty.
With the above objectives in mind it is my desire to:
- Officially announce a 10 million PIGGY bounty to facilitate this change.
- Write a detailed specification outlining deliverables to claim said bounty.
- Suggest the path of least resistance.
I am going to leave this discussion at this point prior to finalizing details of the three points above. Further I wish to disclose it is my full intention, upon peer review, to claim this bounty and once the details are finalized begin development.

This coin could revolutionize the Education system as we know it and schools in general. We always hear about School Budgets, wouldn't be the case anymore if Piggy Coin is implemented and used properly amongst the education system. Decentralization at its finest.
