I got my stake in the original distribution (scam version). I was never able to claim my stake in the reboot of nfd though because the password I had written down didn't match my account number & password hash. After many hours of frustration I gave up trying different versions of my original password and believed my nfd stake was lost forever.

Today I worked out the problem Smiley

Using http://www.xorbin.com/tools/sha256-hash-calculator I was able to generate my original password hash from my original password by adding a 'return' at the end. My problem now is when I try to do this in the nfd login box by hitting the 'return' key after I type in my password the 'enter' key submits the form, so the extra return that's needed on the end of my password doesn't get submitted as part of my password.

How can I add a 'return' character to the end of my password that becomes part of the password text, but doesn't submit the login form?

thanks

I don't know how to add a CR at the end of a formular text field .

I would use a local node with http GET access (nxt.apiServerEnforcePOST=false)
and send the balance to a new account:

http://localhost:8876/nxt?requestType=sendMoney&secretPhrase=yourSecret%0A&feeNQT=100000000&deadline=100&recipient=NFD-YOUR-NEW-ACCOUNT&amountNQT=100000000

The important thing is the "%0A" at the end of the secret.
Replace the recipient NFD-YOUR-NEW-ACCOUNT with the Reed-Solomon ID of your new NFD account.
Replace the amountNQT with the amount of your current account amountNQT=(balance in NFD - 1 NFD)*100000000
Example:
The account has a balance of 1234567 NFD then amountNQT is 123456600000000

Thanks for the help!!

I followed your instructions but I get this error:

Quote
{"errorDescription":"\"recipient\" not specified","errorCode":3}

I've sent you a PM.
thanks

I think there is a bug in the NFD swap script for NHZ. If you try and swap multiple NFD accounts with the same balance into the same NHZ account, the script only pays once. I have tested this and it is repeatable. I did all my swaps on the same day, so maybe that effects things also, but multiple swaps into the same NHZ account from NFD accounts with the same balance definitley only get paid once.

Did you get all the coins you were entitled to?

copy your password and paste it in a notepad
move the pointer to the end of the password line by cursor or mouse left click and hit the Enter
select all by Ctrl + A and copy it by Ctrl + C
now paste it in the password field in the wallet and hit Enter
i think this will work

Thanks for the reply!

I tried that but it didn't work. I used textpad, and it doesn't matter how many enter characters I copy, I always open the same account, which leads me to believe that the login form does not register the enter character, but I know from using http://www.xorbin.com/tools/sha256-hash-calculator that my password has an enter character on the end.

HELP Smiley

edit: I get the same result using NXT client (i.e. enter characters at the end of password aren't included)
a blank space (spacebar) is though
