toptekk, So we need to port driver from cgminer to bfgminer that's all. For skilled programmer i think there is no problem to do that. At least bitmain uses linux, and cgminer, look at the silverfish 28 mh/s blade for scrypt,  hardware is cool, software is awful, no cgminer/bfgminer at all!

btw you all were right H2C just fixed the low DIFF with two coins and one was  42  Smiley . and more .

  - optimization for coins with low block time (42, DGB, etc)

I'm guessing the low block time was the issue.

This is not a diff problem, but specific S5 problem, that has been reported multiple times. We suggest you to push this matter to Bitmain so they fix their software.

Here are some updated firmwares for AntMiners with extranonce.subscribe and fresh cgminers:

AntMiner S4:
https://www.nicehash.com/download/AntMiner-S4-SD-firmware_cgminer_4.9.0_nicehash_and_normal_fan.tar.gz

AntMiner S5:
https://www.nicehash.com/download/AntMiner-S5-SD-firmware_cgminer_4.9.0_nicehash_and_performance_graph.tar.gz
(There is some additional features in S5 firmware, performance graphs like on sp20e, they can be accesed by pointing browser to http://miner_ip/cgi-bin/graph.rrd)

AntMiner C1:
https://www.nicehash.com/download/AntMiner_C1_SD-firmware_cgminer_4.9.0_nicehash.tar.gz

Details explained here: https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=software#asic

I keep asking BMT to give US BFG support for whatever reason they won't there is a few things BFG does that are nice that CGMinder doesn't do and may never do that is BFG only or seem to be one is GBT support at least i can't get GBT to work with CGminer . i would rather use BFG inside any ant, not thu a Proxy. but not why i ask for it ,I like being able to have that choice but if i want to use any S series BMT stuff which i do, i have to use CGMINER ( I have nothing against CGMiner ) unless I use BFG in a Proxy.
Solo mining? Easy, put in /etc/init.d/cgminer.sh in PARAM section after --queue  --btc-address your_wallet_address.
Looks like bitmain ignoring all questions related to source code of firmware( violating gpl licence btw)
Also, we have  bitmain driver code, we could just port it to bfgminer.

it more i like the idea of using both without fear of hurting my miners. Luke told me thy told him there is not enough who want it to give him the info he needs I find that hard to believe, that they actually think that, I believe him and believe that is there excuse, no disrespect @ BMT either.. so i ask from time to time and hope.

Hello, NiceHashSupport!

It seems to me your sha256 stratum server pushes the difficulty too high. I've made some tests with my S5, and it performs the best with the diff ~ 2048, but your stratum server always pushes it to 4096 and chokes the S5 to below 1 Th/s average. Tests on other pools with the fixed diff 2048 yield much steadier and nicer results, close to 1.2 Th/s.

Am I missing something here, or could you please keep the difficulty at around worker's hashrate in Gh/s * 1.8 - 2?

Thank you! Smiley

Hard to say exactly because I have multiple orders going to the same pool but I paid 0.3 BTC in and got approx. 0.38 BTC back.  However I've just switched pools to see if the profit goes up or down.
Good job!

Just made a 0.01 BTC order(0.0109 GH/day, limited speed at 15 TH/s) and got only 7m BTC back, should I switch to a better pool first? Do you have any tips or tricks you can share?

And where is that Nicehash Bot, I couldn't find it.

The bot is here:  https://github.com/nicehash/NiceHashBot.

Before anyone replies moaning about things these are only my opinions.  Other things might work for some.  I'm just trying to help.

Try and keep nicehash mining 24/7 if you can.  If you can't you want to pick a PPS pool.

I started my nicehash journey with Eligius.  I couldn't keep it going 24/7 so when it stopped I didn't get penalized too heavily.

At the moment I'm mining Slush which is where my home miners are working.  The bad thing with this is if your nicehash order runs out mid-block and too much time passes your reward goes 'poof' and your efforts were wasted.

On this basis just set a low limit.  5-10 TH to start with.  Then, once you're profit is building you'll be able to increase the speed limit and still be mining continuous.  I'm only running at 15TH but will probably increase to 20TH in a couple of days.

When you're using the bot don't be afraid of setting a high max rate (Not the 0.04 you were doing).  Something like 0.0107 is best.  Mine is set at this but the bot has dropped the rate to 0.0101.

Thank you for your long detail answer, I think I got your point now. I'm going to switch to other pool, but it seems that the OS X is not supported by Nicehash Bot.

If you use Mono, it should work: http://www.mono-project.com/docs/about-mono/supported-platforms/osx/

With Mono, it works on Linux.

So I spent 0.04BTC and mined 0.013BTC instead (SHA256 order) Cry Cry  Who can tell me which algorithm are profitable?

Yeah!  Why the hell did you set the rate at 0.04 BTC per day.  I mine SHA256 at 0.0107 MAX.  SHA256 is profitable if you do it right.  Set a speed limit too so you don't get stung by a pool when you stop mining.  I limit an order to 15TH at the moment so I can keep mining 24/7.

Try using the Nicehash Bot.  Keeps the rate as low as possible for you.

Ok, I will follow your settings and try again. So how many Bitcoin you mined with these 0.11 BTC?

westhash and nice hash both keep doing below if i Try to use script mining has been for a few days  i thought it would have cleared up by now. I have tried diff pool setting even other pools on your list of pool to use and usually use HASH-TO-COINS after i found it  a while back on your site.

if I sha256 mine i have no issue . Am I setting something wrong ? . please let me know.

if I sha256 mine i have no issue . Am I setting something wrong ? . please let me know.

Minimum pool difficulty for sha256 and scrypt is 127 ... please contact pool operator and let him know that he should configure pool for starting pool difficulty at >= 127 ... lower pool difficulties results in very inefficient mining with today's fast scrypt miners (Titans, etc.).

sorry to say it is nice\west as much as you won't admit it that pool you see, is 4096 DIFF all the time .it even says it is on H2c  one the pool you all Recommended.  and all ready asked them on H2C .

sigh and other pools I tired,   did you even read what i said other then  look at the picture .

guess my only recourse is don't rent any Script miners off nice or west hash . i knew asking for help would produce just what it did, i don't even know why I troubled my self with the thought .

Do you use coin switching feature of that pool?

NO I have it set to one coin only and in past I have rented some Script miners off both sites with no issue. if i am setting some thing wrong please tell me .

What was the coin you mined? Maybe that coin diff was so low, that pool diff had to be reduced. From the previous picture, it is visible that pool set diff to 64.

That makes more sense I'm mining  42 coins sense they in fact can pay more then any script coin out there in BTC if you don't mine trading  with the right speed.

So I guess just to connect go mutli pooling once I'm connect for 5 mins then set it to 42, now that i did not think of why i came to ask . but if i have done it in the past right to mining 42 and  it just started over last few days. is it because H2C updated there site .? .

NM 42 are the problem looks like H2C may be the last one to mine them and was one of two stable sites that did, the other one has some kind of block against it no idea why sigh....

not it either not sure why  westhash or nice hash keep dropping off of H2C i just rented 370 MH for a day off of Betarigs same port and no issue mining . it been mining now maybe 20 mins. so for me any way to save time don't rent Script off of West/nice Hash right now till more have the issue or it just magically starts working. I will supply any screen shots if asked etc .

Hello, here are fixed firmware for Antminer C1/S4/S5, fixed - price setting bug, some additional tweaking to cgminer config, all firmwares have nano editor, which is easier than vi Smiley. In S5 frmware you can access to perfomance graphs  via url http://miner_ip/cgi-bin/graph.rrd . Hope that helps Smiley
Update via miner web interface as regular bitmain update.
