So everything has been fully verified and the only 3 transactions that have not been verified are one for 818 OCTO - 6a7d668448fcbf5a9ce8eeb5777730748855f24117ade02abb3e3856a59a1eb2 and one for 0.88888888 - ea9e891c3e5b987bab1e48057914024ebf3965b2951b351d32af8f97f4ed015c and one for 0.44444444 - d273e742772525cc274b8f0f5df357732758f65c6996e51f679dbdd66623c5a3

Here is the final document of payouts for the burn https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/14ZFfxgmRAeukUN8vcPHIaxAdue_-eGzc9dD5yhDL-Vc/pubhtml for a total of 19594174.07 OCTO to be distributed. Since everything is verified I am creating the distribution address.

Thanks everyone, will post back here in a little bit Cheesy

I'd be interested in being one of those 3 people for the multi-sig wallet. I'm at my computer daily for many hours!

2nd: what is our team number when initially setting up our identity?

Multi sig is ready for counterparty, but you may want it to develop a little more before implementing it at this time

This shows the initial plan for merged mining on FoldingCoin. You see the year, the daily amount for the year and the yearly total. The 2015 total does not include 365 days, where 2016-2022 includes all 365 days.

2015     19726           5878348
2016     11506           4199690
2017   9863           3599995
2018     8219           2999935
2019     6575           2399875
2020     4931           1799815
2021     3287           1199755
2022     1643           599695

So the total to be mined over 8 years is 22677108 OCTO. The remainder to make it an even 23 million is 322892.

We will set up a monthly faucet over the the LTB general forum. People can post their Counterparty addresses on the forum and we will distribute OCTO monthly. The faucet will be set up as a lottery faucet, so each month, you won't know how much OCTO is being given out. This will be a trial/test for the same type of faucet to be set up on the OCTO website in the near future.

We will probably need to recruit someone to run the LTB and OCTO faucets. I think it will be a good experience for someone to learn how to do batch processes to release funds to multiple addresses. It's something I'm going to learn from Robert. We may even do it by putting the OCTO funds in a multi sig wallet and recruit 3 people. That way, 2/3 signatures will be needed to release the funds monthly. That will also allow the 3rd person to not have to be there as far as planning. Or I may make myself the 3rd if there is no interest.

For now, go mine medicine and earn them tokens! Remember you can earn more than just OCTO there and it's for a great cause! You have 8 years to mine but this first calendar year is 19726 a month and there are only a total of 261 current folders at the moment, some of which may not even be receiving OCTO. But over the years that may change drastically.

If you need, I can throw the ASIC back on it for a bit.

i think it wouldn't hurt. if people support the hash til the burn is free and clear we'll prolly shoot you some thank you OCTO as well for your time and hash. just pm me and tell me what you are doing Smiley i know hashbrown offered as well. we don't have to have a ton of hash but the difficulty is 0.03761168. and some will have to send transactions and one user is still trying to submit because his transactions wouldn't work. he never could get off 999 and half the time 999 didn't work. i told him to reload the wallet clean and send in before the burn verifications were over and people quit mining altogether lol.
I would agree with kris that using ASICs on this for maybe another week would be good for any issues that might possibly arrive, but after that i wouldnt waste the energy. FYI in case no one here knows, ASICs cannot be used for folding, only GPUs and CPUs

Good thing is I absolutely crushed 888 today while keeping the network going with only 3 MH/s total.  I must have been the only miner on the chain since I earned almost 50K Octo.  Now I have a stash for the original chain "just in case" !

never hurts. it would be smart for someone to keep mining since people may need to prove their addresses on burn. and for just in case. there's still potential here if someone would do something with it.
I must disagree with you. With half the coins provably burned, being removed from exchanges, no mining interest, and no dev team, this old chain has been left for dead. Moving to counterparty is a great way to revive this coin as the old chain will simply be another tally of dead and abandoned coins. Counterparty will help the revival though as a new coin Cheesy

So I've setup the FAH client and it is working but it's just mining towards "any cures" right now.  Will I get credit for any points I've accumulated until I switch to OCTO generation?  I think that won't start until all the new coins get disbursed, correct?
Im not sure if i understand the question :/ I will answer things though that i think you might be getting at:
  • First thanks for putting cards towards medical research Cheesy
  • When you fold for "any cures" you do not get an advantage over someone who does lets say cancer, and visa versa. This is strictly a preference thing, so lets say your mom has cancer, you may want to support that over the other diseases. I have mine set to any as that helps the overall mission, but all settings help medicine Cheesy
  • The credit calculations for OCTO began at Midnight on the 9th, but if you had been folding before that, you will still get credit towards FLDC and the other tokens on our platform. OCTO is now calculating though and the first results have been released http://stats.foldingcoin.net/platformReports/OCTO/20150309-payoutReport.html so even thought the OCTO havent been distributed from the burn, you can start earning it now. (Kris has besided to do monthly payouts, so you will not receive your OCTO until the end of this month, but at the end of the month it will add up all the OCTO you have earned everyday this month and send them to you on the 1st, you will receive FLDC daily though)
  • To get OCTO and FLDC you must use the _OCTO_ prefix, but i recommend using the _ALL_ prefix so you also get POWC and SCOTCOIN + any other tokens we add in the future
I hope i answered your question Smiley
