Been mining and trading Novacoins since the beginning. Most likely I am the #1 block finder on the Nova coin network with over 1700 blocks to my name. Something strange on the Btc-e exchange happen Friday 8/7 and I am wondering why coin holder did not benefit from it. The Btc-e exchange registered that appox. 20 million USD moved thru NVC and the trade volume was more then 100,000 plus coins at any givin moment. My question is why did this not reflect in the value of the coin. The reason why I am asking, if there was a 20 million USD movement thru NVC, it should have reflected in NVC value, each coin should have been valued at appox. 20 USD each. I'm just wondering if anyone else noticed this and what is their take on it.
It's a mystery. My guess is that it's fake volume caused by a bot trading with itself, but I could be wrong!

These builds are working well and can be installed by regular user without any issues. However, packages are pretty old so rebuilding from the current source tree is planned.

Win32 testing builds were updated.

v0.5.2-160 provides scaninput RPC call, it allows you to scan supplied input for sufficient kernel solution.
There are also some minor fixes and internal cleanups. If you had any issues with Tor configuration then this build may be helpful for you.

Thank you for contribution. Of course, somebody may disagree with such approach due to ideological reasons but in my opinion system works as it was expected. There are no security issues because it's impossible to predict stake modifier value for input which is younger than one week.
Dynamic modifier could seem more reliable but actually it won't prevent the big holder from generation of consequent blocks simply because proof-of-stake system doesn't consume energy. Energy efficience allows attacker to have virtually unlimited amount of attack attempts and it doesn't matter how we're calculating the modifier or weight... Only his share matters.
It will make his life a bit more difficult but he still will be able to do the trick. 
That's why it is necessary to make the difficulty as high as possible, the same is correct for the network weight... Greater amout of users leads to better security.
