I also have read the recent update on web node which looks very interesting even those don't have technical knowledge are able to realize where the development is approaching. As expected price are keep declining continuously but nothing to be worried here who understands the role of Pearl Oyster in future's economy of this kind.
Yes. A passive income source, the idea of the project is great. Oyster is accelerating its development of source code. This is the most important thing right now. Everything will be fine but the price for Oyster is too low and I would imagine it would take a huge amount of money to get Oyster back. 4usd for the highest and 0.8 usd for the mainnet price. The current time is 0.08usd.

Absolutely perfect description for Oyster Pearl that not only a working product for cryptocurrency but also has a strong use case. That is the reason I see Oyster as startup now after the launch of working platform. In future demand for storage in secure way will increase gradually and to generate revenue this way is revolutionary solution. Web node demo video was very interesting and everyone should watch of few minutes video.

Info wars is a big organization, that's been around long time. They said a lot of things. I'm not going to go through everything they've said. He might or might not of said that I don't know. He advocates for firearms ownership. He advocates this in order to defend his property, and people against things he sees as threats. I know he has spoken openly about homosexuals, transgender agenda, etc and the perceived threats therein
So I'm quickly sending things out and not trying to really break it all down. What I am saying is he didn't openly threaten anybody, I really haven't seen an example of that
Sorry misunderstanding
I don't really care about any of his ideas. I really care more about censorship in general and what that means for anybody

Alex Jones is a promoter of cryptocurrencies and decentralization in general. He might be a controversial guy, but I like the simple fact that he doesn't fit the PC culture mold. If he triggers you, just go to your safe space. Which is youtube now apparently? XD

Using oysterstorage.com, would it be possible in the future to display more information about what happening during the upload. With just the spinning circle and percentage bar it seems very slow, however, if it showed more of what was going on behind the scenes it may seem faster/more impressive. Would probably be better to have a drop down arrow to display the extra info so that the ui is kept clean and simple. Just an idea.

So I have uploaded my first file into the Oyster Protocol Blockchain encrypted cloud platform. It's only a test net, but it's pretty sleek..

Oyster Protocol Webnode Demo:
https://youtu.be/zdXT2HWQicM

The stunning progress of the tech side of the project!

But just tried to upload not a big pic to the tangle and had stucked((
~snip~
Could the last update be the reason for the slow speed of breaking the file into chunks and encrypting them… sending chunks to brokers...Huh

Upload process is very slow at the moment I also facing the same issue but that is still under beta-net. I believe when they will officially move to mainnet than they will provide wonderful services with speedy process although retrieving service is working nice.

I believe 99% crypto projects have 5 years lifecycle or even less. They become dead

That's why for longterm investment you'd be better of investing in altcoins with big marketcaps. They have enough money to keep their project alive.

Oyster turned out to be a high risk high reward project after the fall. I suspect the devs didn't sell enough at $3-$4 levels.
I also think that they did not do it. Otherwise, it would be frank fraud. Perhaps members of the team and sold their tokens, but the project fund is in place. The team can be trusted.

cryptos with big marketcaps will not give you many XXX, but there is less risk investment of course.  Smiley

In current scenario almost every project looking very risky due to very long bear market. I also agreed with you if dev will continue to showing their support and keep developing this project to make it best than it will bring more big reward in future.

A lot of work to do yet, but the done progress is impressive.

I have one question on data storage and Oyster Handle.
Imagine I`ve downloaded lots of files to the Oyster and have lots of Handles, How could I choose one to retrieve quickly the specific file from the Tangle at a shorter time?
Could the preview function of the downloaded file be implemented in the future locally from the PC that will help a lot to find the proper Oyster Handle for the demanded file in the shorter time?

Hello all, coinmarketcap started separating exchanges by the "adjusted volume" and "reported volume"! You can check if the new PRL exchanges are worth something or not!
Trading volume is really low and not good for trading or exchanging. The value of the PRL has fallen sharply since the launch of the mainnet. I still find that the PRL team is actively developing the source code. Hopefully the PRL will come back soon.
5-6 BTC is not so low at this time. Very hard time for the market. But, unfortunately, I do not believe PRL will hit 4$ in the future.
Why do you believe it won't hit $4 in the future?
Volume has risen to 23 BTC for 24hour volume as I type this. Oyster protocol has a low supply of roughly 85 million. A $340 million  marketcap can put the token to $4 per token. Maybe not in the nearest future but in roughly 5years time from now, I see the token hitting that prize if the team continues developing the project at the pace and steady rate they are going.

5 years is the very huge timeframe. I believe 99% crypto projects have 5 years lifecycle or even less. They become dead

If the development get's completed $4 should be no problem.
