the dev is working on adding a static node to the wallet instead of dynamic that should clear up all this

@MRCASHKING
manually opening the port on your router and opening or allowing port on windows firewall if on home network but mines in a datacenter so
i only had to do the windows firewall

ya i totally tried that, even created rules specifically and rebooteed, no luck ;/

a shame too  , this wallet looks awesome, could be a great project

Tried it all too. no luck here.

edit: NVM Played around in linksys router settings for a while finally got it to work. Edit: Wait Still not working. lol

I pretty much gave up on this. Was synced and had multiple connections. Allow mining box was checked and it never started mining.   Undecided will try again tomorrow. Kdsmith what's the secret?

Sounds similar to the mini-blockchain implementation pioneered by Cryptonite: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/annxcn-cryptonite-1st-mini-blockchain-coin-m7-pow-no-premine-713538

The "safe box" could be compared to the mini-blockchain radix-tree-based balance sheet, where the hash of the safe box is embedded into blocks, so that a user's copy of the safe box can be validated against the blockchain.

If it doesn't need historical operations then why does it need a blockchain? What makes it different to other coins? Does it have a blockchain pruning mechanism to keep the blockchain small, or some special features besides being written in a different language to other coins?

As far as why it needs a blockchain, I would assume the blockchain acts as a means of maintaining consensus on the contents of the "safe box" although it isn't referenced directly for transaction history/data/validity.

It's explained in the White Paper. The BlockChain is used to create and mantain a "Safe Box". In any moment, you can delete the blockchain because you only need the Safe Box to work and operate (control double spend, check balance, confirm signatures...)

I've been trying to get my wallet working for a while.

On a VM the wallet worked immediately. No extra configuration needed.

I've tried creating a .conf, reinstalled the wallet to a different drive, and close basically everything on my PC. Still, no luck.

http://prntscr.com/c4zqh1

It appears to be connecting but not downloading the blockchain.

Huh i can't connect for some reason

Perhaps Firewall???  Remember to open your 4004 port!

its not the firewall idk ..

update .. after closing it and opening several time it worked ... now when mining will be enabled

click that 'allow mining' checkbox
