The links you posted only differ in that one includes an SD card, and one does not.  The 512MB Model B hardware is the one you want.

If you're just getting started with the Raspberry Pi, I recommend checking out 'Starter Kit' bundles.  Usually a starter kit will include, at minimum: Raspberry Pi, power adapter, SD card and case.  Some starter kits may include more.

You will also need an ethernet cable, USB keyboard and mouse, monitor, and cable for monitor (HDMA or RCA video)

Some places you can pick up a starter kit:

Hope this helps!

EDIT: Starter kit bundles usually include a Raspberry Pi, too Cheesy

how many yummie do we get?

Mmm, yummies -- I like it!  Name reserved for fractional denominations.  (0.0001 PiNX == 1 Yummie, or something like that Cheesy)

The amount each individual will get is dependent on the number of stakeholders who sign up during the registration period, which runs from February 14th to March 23rd.

Your stake will equal:
1,000,000,000 / # of initial stakeholders.

Ok guys, now I want to know more about the initial distribution.
So everything I need is to tell the UNIQUE Raspberry Pi serial number but is there a limit to the number of Raspberry I can register for PiNX ?
Tell me so I won't buy too many of them.
Also, we can exchange the coin with anyone ? No need of Raspberry right ?

It is a really cool idea to promote power efficient computer. I love it.

Yes, there is a limit to the number of Raspberry Pi you can register -- one.  See https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.4628420

Time will tell for exchange with non-Raspberry Pi holders.  Theoretically, the client software will run on any computer which supports Java, however the official distribution will only support Raspberry Pi.

EDIT: One Raspberry Pi to one Bitcointalk account will be the method for acquiring stake in initial distribution

Get your rasp pi's before the vendors start jacking up the prices.  Like the GPU's.

I'm proud to announce that PiNX is now part of the KLONE::Family of NXT Clones!

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-klone-descendant-of-nxt-1-million-coins-very-rare-423647

What does this mean for PiNX?
  • PiNX will share our work within the KLONE family to ensure a healthy ecosystem for ALL NXT clones
  • PiNX gains support and expertise from the other members of the KLONE family.
  • We are STRONGER TOGETHER than we are alone

I give an 'A' for originality on a PoS launch.  Just ordered my Raspberry Pi.

I like the idea of using an energy efficent machine, but there are tons of other devices besides the raspberry pi, some with even lower power consumption and it doesn't really make sense to exclude those. Though it would make the initial distribution much more complicated.

For genesis intiial distribution, it must be a Raspberry Pi.

Raspberry Pi will be the only OFFICIAL distribution, at least in the short term.  Long term, we will consider additional hardware offerings as long as they match security and power efficiency goals of the project.

Additional platforms can always be supported as third party offerings.

I've ordered a bunch of raspberries in anticipation of this.

Each Bitcointalk account may only register one Raspberry Pi for inclusion in genesis block.  Any more, and you may get caught by the taint analysis and refused.

Will you limit newbie accounts somehow?

Newbie accounts will be treated no differently than established accounts.  Each account will require an additional Raspberry Pi to register, and registrations will include a number of checks to help ensure minimal 'cheating'.  Some pieces of the 'taint analysis' will be left secret to dissuade people trying to register on more than one account.

To explain the genesis registration more completely:
  • On February 14th, a Raspberry Pi SD image will be released for registration purposes
  • Each interested user must download the image and flash it onto a SD card -- this SD card is used to boot the Raspberry Pi
  • On Raspberry Pi boot, the user will be asked for a Bitcointalk user account
  • The user account, unique Raspberry Pi CPU serial number, IP address, and timestamp will be transmitted to an online database server which will house all registration entrants
  • All user accounts, CPU serial numbers, and IP addresses must be unique in order to be granted the funds from genesis block
  • Once valid information has been passed to the database server, it will reply with a 20-digit alpha passcode on the terminal -- this is YOUR VERIFICATION CODE.
  • Each user must then send me a PM with the validation code to complete the authentication process

Discovered attempts at manipulation will be refused for inclusion in genesis block.
