anonymous team is fine as long as they are not robbing money from the users. and if they are really authentic, why not?
i think this is hard question in crypto,many legit project's that already passed and going well started without showing their faces...i think that is a matter of time)
But none of those asked any money for it, (well maybe scammers did). It was pure mining back then, often with pre-mines too as a way to cash out.

There were a lot of successful and honest teams that created successful products anonymously, there were many public teams that succeeded too.
But there were a lot of anonymous teams who made the scam, but also it is worth remembering that many public ICO have made a scam too
I do not think that anonymity or publicity is a fundamental factor in crypto-currencies
