Seems like this thread is more or less being kept alive only by the people behind the project right now. Is there any interest from anybody else? Not been checking out this project for a while. What are the plans going forward for Veil? Is it simply the fact that Bitcoin and alts have been on a steady rise for the last 6 months, and whoever is behind Veil atm wants to milk whoever they can get some funds out off??

any plans for reducing blockchain size?
it'll be quite a big problem in a couple years, no?

a light wallet or remote node somehow would be interesting.

Reducing the blockchain bloat is something that has been discussed, and there are different options to consider such as pruning (which hasn't been implemented in Veil yet), but we haven't made a firm decision on which options to pursue yet. But Veil X wallet and light wallet are planned for addressing the issues caused by the current blockchain size, and the future privacy protocol will be designed with more efficient data use in mind.

Any new updates coming our way like a new exchange listing or new partnerships? Price dropped a lot and not seeing any sight of price movement we need some news to jump start the price movement.

Veil was recently added to BlockCard and InstaSwap. As for future listings and partnerships, our current focus is getting the upcoming PoW update implemented on Mainnet before getting Veil on more platforms, to minimize the work exchanges and services need to do to update.

when will the new system be introduced? Like Sonic was called

Sonic is still a work in progress. It may come out later Q4 this year or sometime next year, but we have no firm ETA right now.

the 4th quarter is right around the corner.
good to hear that, hope it's possible to have it delivered this year.

any plans or news about new exchange listings?
that could be good for the project too.

looking forward

We plan on getting on more exchanges, but are waiting on a major RingCT update before we try to get listed again. This will make it easier for future exchanges to integrate with less need for updating their integration.

In our latest interview, we discuss Proof-of-Work with Kristy-Leigh Minehan (aka OhGodAGirl) an original member of IfDefElse and co-creator of the ProgPoW mining algorithm.
Kristy shares some insights on ProgPoW, ASICs, and the importance of tweaking PoW algorithms as hardware evolves.
