Doesn't matter which server you are on.  All collects to one address.

Why not archive stagnant bitcoin addresses that aren't mining into another page so we all aren't buffering a bunch on the front page. (food for thought)

I suspect this is lower priority to getting the mirror servers up to handle the increased load after the hashcows issue.

I also belives that should be a control to these kind of very suspicious minings...

500mh?Huh come on really?

Im busting my balls to get a second system do run to up from my 1.6mh to maybe 4mh...
fu  xxxx x x x...

Rich do all get rich... not the poor it seems...

suspicious?  not for me.  more intriguing than suspicious, and this sparks my curiosity.

i think there is a new player with new technology in play here.  Due to the supply constraints video cards, i doubt someone could have gotten this hash rate from GPU setup by dec 31 and start with such a large hash rate.  there just isn't that many video cards available from anywhere.

if it was a botnet like a few paranoiacs were saying, there should be more fluctuations in the hash rate as unaware people turned their computers on and off.

i believe this is the first evidence of a scrypt asic farm.  to see it on middlecoin should be no suprise to any of us here; middlecoin does outperform the others switching pools.

we'll see others.  this is only the beginning.

Couldn't agree with you more...

^ why don't you move this to the mining forum?

also, was there a large connectivity outage about 10 hours ago?  my internet was also down (MCI backbone), but it looks like a big chunk in our hashrate was taken out around that time too.

This is from the almost 500 Mh/s btc adress.  Wink

I know; that dip is also reflected in several other accounts i haphazardly sampled.  i was wondering if that indicated a broader network issue (e.g. west coast) vs. one or two users.  i suffered a loss of connectivity as well for that period of time, and i don't think the big gun could have anything to do with my outage.

anyone mine on only EU server have that blip in their hash rate?

What is the EU server info?

I am assuming this is US - stratum+tcp://middlecoin.com:3333

Are there only the two?

But that asic gives only 50 khash for $80
To make 500 mhash you need a lot of them, a lot
The price is more expensive than a gpu, just electric consumption is good
That 500 mhash must be a botnet

So he designed/fabbed/built ASICS before the rest of the world???

I don't believe it for a second.  You want some swamp land in Colorado for cheap, Dawes?

Edit: www.gridseed.com  Interesting.  Can't tell if its all photoshop work.  Now i'm intrigued.

Nice! Wonder when those will be available for order and for how much and when they would do a demo of them?!

NEVER!! i hope..

What's more likely? a dude from china who made a botnet that infected a bunch of people, or a guy has a secret underground chip for hundreds of thousands in investment, that still is less than impressive for altcoin mining? lol

Can't tell if what's photoshopped? The photo of the chips? Even if it's a genuine photo, it still proves fuck all.

I took the liberty of giving the pool website a quick makeover. I find myself staring at the graphs and tables on the site quite a lot these days and the current design is, well, not amazing. You can view my mockup here:

http://rickardandersson.github.io/middlecoin

For the sake of convenience, I only included part of the huge table on the front page. In addition, all report links in the table point to the same sample page. I also took the liberty of changing the colors used in the graphs by coinGeek. The colors I used are:

Immature: #ecdf9a
Unexchanged: #a6e38e
Balance: black (2 px wide)
Accepted: #7cb5ee
Rejected: #215b95
Three hour average: black

It's not the most exciting design (I'm not a designer), but I believe it is at least a bit better than what we have today.

h20 and coinGeek: If you like any or all of my changes, by all means, use them.

Bump for visibility. This is awesome dude!

That address is a fellow from China using ASIC chips. He starts posting on this page. Please don't discuss ASICs or other mining stuff in this thread unless it directly relates to middlecoin. There is an entirely separate forum for that.

I got a 30-minute downtime from 1030 to 1100 GMT today. Payments have been smaller, but that's due to multiple factors, such as increasing pool hashrate, a weak altcoin market, and a volatile BTC.
