seems to be an interesting project... i think i will mine it again!!

historical minimum on exchange, mining do not earn even the socket. hope team will finally pay some attention to it and promote the coin better. I bought it at 0,1$ price when it was jumping 0,08-1,15. The better way to loose all investors is making nothing to keep exchange rates comfortable. as for the moment it goes exact the same way as 300+ other shitcoins with excellent ideas

I have a website that offers some services. I want to accept payments in the cryptocurrency. How can I do this with a Purk? Where can I read the manual?

You will need to install the GUI wallet - https://github.com/purkproject/purk/releases

Once you generate a wallet address, you can visit the Purk API page and generate a donations button for your website
Thanks for the help. It's pretty simple Smiley

Recently a lot of exchanges took CryptoNote wallets offline due to a double counting bug found in CryptoNote code. We were aware that PURK would not be affected by this bug, but for transparency reasons we created this post so our users know that they‘re PURK is safe and business can continue as usual.

https://medium.com/@purkproject/purk-wallets-are-not-affected-by-double-counting-bug-in-cryptonote-code-edd8253d6079

We have contacted TradeOgre and Altex and are waiting for confirmation that we can be reactivated shortly.
Both of these exchanges should disable deposits and withdrawals before all bugs fixed to avoid customer losses, network congestions, and abundant support tickets.

This is exactly what both exchanges did. PURK was mistakenly deactivated, it's only coins that are forked from Monero that have this bug - please read the report on Medium.

Altex have already reactivated PURK just waiting on TradeOgre.

all exchanges closed wallets "for maintenance" without any notice. what is happening?

Sharpeich - all CryptoNote coins were temporarily put in to maintenance on all exchanges due to a double counting bug in CryptoNote code - https://github.com/monero-project/monero/pull/3985. Purk is not affected by this. We are currently recreating the exploit to prove this and will tweet the results to TradeOgre and Altex shortly.

Shitcoin and pure scam. Official Website (https://purkproject.com) uses your computer (48-50% of CPU power) to mine cryptocurrencies.

I think you need to upgrade your potato, because that certainly is not happening on my computer using a Ryzen 1700X.  Or you may just be spreading FUD for the lulz...

This made me chuckle. Thanks for verifying also.

as I understand it, you will not be selling tokens, right? when your token will be traded on exchanges? unfortunately, I did not see this information in the roadmap

That's right, we are not selling tokens. Purk is a mineable coin, not token. We are already listed on 2 exchanges:

Yes, same thing. You can check your task manager when you have the website open (40% cpu load). When you close the website tab (not the entire browser), the cpu load gets back to 1-3%.

Yes correct on "some" PC's this is the case and it all depends on your CPU. Note - there is lots of animation on the page which puts a strain on low spec CPU's - but you can check our source code - there is nothing to be suspicious about. It would be completely insane to have something negative on our website that we are using to promote our own cryptocurrency. Come on people, lets put this to bed. It's a ridiculous claim and has already been checked and verified by a previous poster.

if that true, how a shame behavior for the dev team of Purk...

anyone noticed the same thing?

I agree, but we need to start somewhere. In the mean time, please vote for PURK on Shardax - Votes have been reset and we have until August 1st to win this round and qualify for a free listing:

You can use OTC on Discord but its use at your own risk at this time until we begin exchange applications come end of May

It's already July

OTC finished about 3 weeks ago, see:

Exchanges

https://altex.exchange
https://tradeogre.com

Regarding plans, of course there are plans, but we are in talks with a number of exchanges atm. Also larger exchanges require larger listing fees. Something we're working on as a community at https://donate.purkproject.com
