just a question because I didn't find any information about it: when does the difficulty change?
Specification is for 2016 blocks. That said, it wasn't expected for 500mhash to come to bear on PXL right away and thought it would be a much smaller and niche type of launch compared to the usual coin release (since this is mainly for the website and backed by actual pixels) so really more pixels were made sooner and now less pixels are being created with current difficulty, so maybe this can be tweaked going forward to respond better to faster moving markets. (right now the slower supply is offsetting the fast release initially)

Miners will not return until its "profitable" to mine the coin as i said earlier. Its good that dev is very active. Currently DOGE/MOON increased in value 1000% and some other new coins made it to exchange ( KLONDIAKE/VERT) which seems to much more profitable so hash power must have died here
Yep higher prices more miners, what's odd to me is the pms I get to escrow or sell pixels, and these offers are of course higher than whatever the 'market' is, a reputation premium I guess you could say, although I do not offer escrow services or sell them
I have to agree with Trip that this should be on an exchange and let's see what happens to price discovery , and what is profitable then

That is because no block is being found We need more hashers!
I know everyone is mining dogecoin right now because the price is so high. But PXL coin is going to be very valuable in the future! Once we begin our marketing push and once coins are available on exchanges for advertisers - the sky is the limit!

This coin is still very young. I think the popularity will eventually feed off itself. Since faucets and gambling sites for PXL and other coins can advertise right on PXL's page! thereby driving more traffic to PXL and giving PXL more value.

We may increase the block reward bonus to 5 tomorrow to attract some whales. Network hashrate is definitely a problem. Those who support PXL we could definitely use your help mining! We are considering all options right now and keeping a sharp eye on the network hashrate.
We do plan to advertise but we want to get on an exchange first. We want people to be able to easily purchase coins through an exchange once they hear about the site and get excited about it. There is no point to begin our big push yet because if a company wants to advertise their only option is to go to a forum thread and try to negotiate a deal with someone who may try to scam them. We don't want that because if advertisers have a bad experience it will give us a bad reputation in the long run. So once we are on an exchange we will definitely begin our big "marketing push". This coin is all about advertisers - they are the ones that will essentially fuel the growth of the site and the coin. Advertisers having convenient and affordable access to PXL is paramount to our success.

You could throw a bounty up for a gambling site, faucet, and giveaways!

Since this has no premine the dev's probably won't be able to fund this...
