you are kidding right ? 2.5Mhz == 80 coins < .01BTC ?? is profitable? Cant you learn from other coins mistakes// no matter what you do multipools will come.. I like this coin but no one will keep on mining for long LEARN FROM RPC/CAT they had to FORK so will you

And what's the use for 99% of these alt coins? This coin has a very good idea and use already. Wait till it hits an exchange... if the price settles higher watch how everyone will jump back on it

We are aware of the difficulty. When launching the coin we chose a long term strategy with difficulty and blocks. Coins with fast difficulty adjustments are exploited by profit-switching pools which is something we did not want. So we chose to go with difficulty adjustments every 2016 blocks and a target period of 2 weeks. And block times of 600 seconds.
The first 14,000 blocks were solved in 2 days. This is much much faster than expected. Right now there are over 400,000 coins in existence. Also much more than we thought for the first few days.
As we know the difficulty is currently 16. Right now we are averaging about 3-4 blocks an hour, below are target of 6. However because the first blocks were solved so quickly, we do not want a difficulty adjustment for another week or so. Otherwise difficulty will rise again which would be very bad.
So as I mentioned, we are launching a promotion to slightly boost our mining speed. With the 1pxl block bonus paid to the finder, this will make mining much more profitable.
And by our calculations, 100 PXL is going for about 0.01 btc on the trading thread. So even at this difficulty mining is still profitable.

Diff is too high, I don't think it's worth mining. The pools are not solving blocks anymore.

Today we will be launching a mining promotion. On both the pxlcoin.com pool and bitember's pool (and possibly minar), we will be implementing a 1pxl reward to each block finder. The pool software (MPOS) will pay this automatically so you don't have to do anything special - just mine.
We will be doing this for 1,000 blocks and maybe more if it goes well.
We will implement this first on bitember's pool. I will not announce exactly when we start (it will be in the next few hours) but will announce after a good chunk of blocks bonuses have been paid.

This coin is going to make us rich. Fast mine asap before the difficulty rises, which it will very soon. If this hits an exchange the price will skyrocket like any coin, and then the difficulty will skyrocket too but unlike other coins this one will keep most of the value because of the website and the concept.
Difficulty is already sky high. What are you saying? If it goes any higher this will die like CAT/RPC without any hashpower.

There is a new exchange opening soon (Cycurex) that has said they will list us. But who knows when they will actually launch and how smooth that launch will be. So we are still focused on getting listed on an existing exchange like Cryptsy.

Thank you for the answer, the decision however, remains tough. But then again, if the decision is tough, i.e. 50-50, it probably doesn't matter much whichever I choose. 
By posting an image you also add to the growth of the website which is very important. People want to see new content on the site every day and when you add to the site you are fueling that. So if you want to help add value to your investment in either PXL itself of the AD space, consider purchasing space. Sitting on them doesn't really help PXL as a whole!

the way i see it, if you buy now:
a) you may get in on the 50% off promotion, and even if you don't - you'd get in on 1PXL per pixel of real estate. keep in mind that the price will double after the first 500K pixels which would double the value for the amount of PXL's you spend now
b) if you have a site/service to advertise - you can be advertising it while you are looking for the right offer or while you make up your mind

Blocks are a little slow with the difficulty so high due to the last few rounds happening so quickly. It will all "even out" and stabilize soon

What would be the pros and cons of buying the image now and sell/rent that space to those who want it vs hodling the coins and deciding later?
real estate vs PXL acquisition
you could benefit off snagging good real estate on the site, but you will niche yourself into selling to someone who wants your spot, and your size of area.
liquid PXLs can be bought by anyone building a larger position to put a larger ad up, they cant buy your existing ad unless they want to expand on its space, and then only if the adjacent space is empty.
so
consider whether the premium of the space and your size of ad qualifies as a significant benefit over keeping the PXLs liquid. also if you are considering a space from an investment perspective, consider the dimensions of the layout carefully to suit a broad range of applications. read make it banner shaped.
