Here is how to fix if your wallet is stuck...

1) Kill pxlcoind process
2) Modify your pxlcoin.conf in home directory as follows:

3) Delete EVERYTHING in your pxlcoin directory EXCEPT wallet.dat and pxlcoin.conf
4) Restart pxlcoind. It will download chain again (shouldnt take long).

Note:
Home directory in unix is ~/.pxlcoin or /home/user/.pxlcoin
Home directory in winsows is %userprofile%/appdata/roaming/pxlcoin

If anyone still has problems let me know. I have 5 nodes running pxlcoind and none got stuck on the block - don't know why it happened still investigating.

Stop pxlcoind
Backup wallet.dat
delete all files and folders except for "pxlcoin.conf" and "wallet.dat".
add this line to pxlcoin.conf:

It was addressed. But here we go again ...

This isn't a system where if you have 1 PXL in your wallet you automatically own 1 pixel on the site - that is what he is proposing. That is not how it works and no one ever said that is how it would be. It was always clear that you PURCHASE space on the website using PXL.

Another thing is that the website is separate from the coin. If pxlcoin.com charged a dollar per pixel instead, would someone argue that you should be entitled to 1 pixel on the website just for having a dollar in your bank account?

Finally the poster of this ideas argues that people's advertisements have no "liquidity". That is preposterous. The way advertising works is you pay to have your message (image, video, etc) seen or heard by an audience. When you purchase an ad, the money you spent is gone - you never get it back or earn a % return on it. Instead you earn return on you investment because you will earn more sales as a result of the ad. Not because the "value" of your ad goes up. Every advertising model in the world works that way and ours is no different.

Our model is simple - you purchase space on our site using pxlcoin. Once you purchase the advertisement it is there forever. Yes the price of the coin could go up and your ad would have been bigger if you had waited for the price to rise - but if we accreted Bitcoin, couldn't the same thing happen?

I'm not going to address this again but for the last time here is our model:

You can purchase 1 pixel on our website for 1 PXL.

This is not a system where you inherently own something just for having coins in your wallet. And no one ever said that is how it would be. Our coin is unique in the sense that if crypto currency were to plummet and all coins were worth zero, PXL would still have value because the coins could still be used to purchase advertising. So the coin is backed by something where others are not.

If the value goes up, the advertiser cant sell his pxl BECAUSE HE GAVE IT TO THE DEV!!! That makes no sense at all. It defeats the purpose of crypto. I am sure the dev is a nice guy but the model makes no sense. What makes it even worse is the dev can dump on the market whenever he wants. That causes inflation because now there are more PXL than there is pixels in circulation! Inflation will make the price drop and so will any dev dumps to profit. In order for any coin to increase in value it needs to be deflationary. Also miners get screwed because the dev will recontrol all their hard earned mined coins. Even bagholders are screwed because the dev will hold millions of pixels that he can sell at any time. That is what I mean by no equity. Now the dev says he wont dump the coins. So even if buyers take that huge leap of faith, it still wont work because any ADVERTISER WILL NOT PAY FOR AN AD THAT HE CAN NOT RESELL ESPECIALLY WHEN HE GIVES HIS PXL BACK TO DEV.

The fix?
Any prospective advertiser can resell his ad. So all he needs to do is pay the dev a fee for upload or a percentage. Dev will know who owns what by wallet balance since a wallet with a balance of 1000 pxl can be entitled to a 1000 pxl ad. (he would just pay a small fee to the dev to maintain or upload it) if the value of the coin increases the dev profits anyway and so does the miners and buyers since the dev is not controling the market by possessing a majority of its volume. His fees being smaller, would actually allow the dev to reap bigger profits since it would allow the market to expand. Peercoin is a fantastic example of this theory since they implement .01 ppc fee but its destroy through inflation. So the market maintains its value but can still increase in high magnitude.

Funny thing is, even if the dev wanted to make money off the current model he cant because he controls too much of the market. So the second he starts selling he devalues his own currency. That really is what a ponzi is. Wether or not the dev realizes it, its very similar to a ponzi because he effectively controls almost 100% of the market share. That damages miners beyond belief. He said earlier that he will "warn" people before he sells??? That makes no sense either because then people will dump the coin. That would destroy its value and the dev would not profit. He is either the one dumping or the one being dumped on! Now think about this for a second. Which would you rather be??

This needs addressing. If the dev doesn't respond there's an exposed raw nerve.

It might just take a day or two - each mined coin requires 100 confirmations. Network is a little slow so it may take some time. What is your username on the pool? I will look at it.
