when the AT release?

Think it's been done for awhile now.

July 29th
[20:56:33] @Qora: have any Arbitrary Transactions been sent yet?
[21:14:00] No idea

Yesterday
[22:30:39] @Qora after A E could you spend some time making something utilising A T?
[22:30:49] to pave the way as it were
[22:32:08] I could do that but I would prefer not to.

I'm curious do we have a wiki somewhere that explains how to use arbitrary transactions?

Check the API document listed in the OP. There's some stuff in there.

If we do get the BTC money back we should buy as much cheap Qora as possible quickly.

To what end? A short term change in the markets before it starts to slowly work it's way back down again?

IMO any money should be spent on actually promoting the coin and getting an economy going for it. More faucets. More of those "silly" dice games etc. What purpose does AT serve? What purpose does AE serve? Even OS, what purpose does it really serve for a long term outlook? They're pretty much meaningless. Sort of expected at this point which makes them a requirement, but really, things like AE are just another way to buy and sell the coin which means a slow death as far as I'm concerned after looking at coin after coin and their history at the exchanges. You need people using the coin, not just hording them or playing with the markets. And that requires "silly" dice games etc. Not to mention that every time there's some new way to use the coin, that's a chance to promote the coin and get more interest in it.

There needs to be stuff constantly happening. New announcements every couple weeks, once a month type of thing. Doesn't matter how minor it is, just that there's something that says it's alive, well, and progressing. There's only so many features that can be implemented in a coin and there is no news when a coin exists solely for the purposes of trading on exchanges.

I only meant we should convert stolen coins if we can to Qora quickly before the price rises and the BTC loses a lot of value.

I read what you said it seems you want gimmicks and you don't value real innovation. Maybe Jackpot coin is a better fit for you?

You obviously know nothing about Qora as you are asking for some announcement every few weeks. With Qora you normally get a new wallet upgrade once a week or so. AE is very important, are you sure you are not a NXT'er? Who else has AE apart from NXT? It's a big deal by anyone's standards. I am hopeful it is implemented in a more user friendly way than NXT though. NXT sucks balls, from the hassle to enter the password to the hassle to send money. Qora will beat NXT, it's a better product, who cares which came out first.

I come from outside the crypto community and so I have a completely different perspective on all of this.

What "gimmick" are you talking about? That it can actually be used for something? Would love to know how you think any coin can survive and thrive for years if you can't do anything with it outside the crypto community itself. The "gimmicks" as you call them get more people to see the coin and thus get involved with it.

Not a NXTer. Not an anything really which means I have no bias. I have about 9 NXT coins total but a few thousand Qora. As far as I can tell, counterparty also has an asset exchange and I played with it a little as I got some free assets. Currently it has issues and I simply don't see any reason to use it. It was easier and faster (and actually cheaper in the long run) to transfer the assets to some other exchange in order to sell them. Maybe you can explain to me why AE is supposed to be a big deal and how that will make people want to use the coin.

For crypto to work it needs decentralized trading and holding of other assets. People want a system not just a coin. People will probably use a few systems to hold assets in years to come. So it will be like saying what system are people using not what coin. NXT hopes to be the big system everyone goes to but I can't see it myself, it's not user friendly enough. The developers there are blind to the average Joe user.

Why move assets online to an exchange that has no backing or real security if you lose your money. It's all about which system will win and which will be minor players. Even if Bitcoin becomes the coin everyone uses many may still be using Qora to hold bitcoin.

Spoke with Qora this morning. He said that A E  will be completed hopefully next week. He will try to be more active in this thread. He will make a post about the A E function soon.

Hello, I have seen in the chat that you want to make a blog to show Qora news and developments and want Qora Dev involved in it. Why not use this chat logs to make the blog? Seems Qora prefers comunication through chat and you can make a new post in the blog whenever he talks in the chat about the coin.

Don´t know if this can be useful but I think it´s worth to try.

Regards.

I had the same idea, i think i collected maybe 40% of what Qora wrote could finish it off.

Looks like QORA is possibly experiencing a slow pump.  It's about time to skim a little profit for those who have caught the dumps and have significantly bought up a decent stake.

Otherwise, if you are new to QORA, now might be a good time to buy.  The price might fall again, but if a whale has good steam then we might have seen the low.  It's better to get in before a real pump takes place or just accept that 16 sats is low, even if it temporarily goes lower.

Small-time hodlers should continue to hold or buy a little more.

Attention!
http://coinia.net/qora/?q=QXx7SnaEPvEczS8rX7HZKH3pY4vXG8ATxK

Sharexchange moved 65m qora to poloniex! I alerted busoni and poloniex and we need more people to do so immediately.
He caused the dump to single digit satoshi. That stolen qora (now btc) belongs to our community. Let's hope we can get it!

Hope we can get the lost money back, but even if failed, he dumped at this price, it is also a good news.

Think it might be too late. Might be the crash we saw yesterday. But still good to let them know.

So reading the chat logs, one of the things the dev has mentioned a few times is that he'd like to see the volume of Qora go up. Now, volume as displayed on the exchanges has always irritated me as it really doesn't show activity as it's tied to the price of the coin. A higher priced coin can look like it's got great activity, but that can simply not be true. So I just pulled some data from Bter for the last 24 hours to have a look at things. This is only for BTC trades.

This is where Qora stands in terms of purely the number of coins traded. It's #3. Not sure what's going on with NFD, looks like there was a dump that has loosened up the market.

Code:
   Pair     Name                       Supply       Traded     S/T%
1.  nfd_btc  NFD                 5,000,000,000  103,028,670   2.061%
2.  doge_btc DogeCoin           89,148,800,000   57,062,875   0.064%
3.  qora_btc Qora               10,000,000,000   27,734,604   0.277%
4.  mint_btc MintCoin           19,581,400,000    7,515,133   0.038%
5.  ntx_btc  nTx                 1,000,000,000    5,549,981   0.555%
6.  nas_btc  nas                10,000,000,000    2,011,643   0.020%
7.  nxt_btc  Nxt                 1,000,000,000    1,715,661   0.172%
8.  btsx_btc BitSharesX          2,000,000,000    1,697,993   0.085%
9.  comm_btc CommunityCoin         851,166,000    1,198,583   0.141%
10. xcr_btc  Crypti                100,000,000      955,471   0.955%

Course number of coins still doesn't mean much. So this one shows the actualy number of coins traded as a percentage of the supply. Qora is #9. But consider that something happened with NFD today and that Cryptonite and Crypti are new on Bter so there's going to be more activity on them than what would end up being typical for them.

Code:
   Pair     Name                       Supply       Traded     S/T%
1.  xcn_btc  Cryptonite              4,298,010      683,339  15.899%
2.  rox_btc  RoxCoin                 4,500,000      312,758   6.950%
3.  dtc_btc  DataCoin                4,985,260      136,908   2.746%
4.  nfd_btc  NFD                 5,000,000,000  103,028,670   2.061%
5.  flt_btc  FlutterCoin            47,401,000      617,820   1.303%
6.  xcr_btc  Crypti                100,000,000      955,471   0.955%
7.  ntx_btc  nTx                 1,000,000,000    5,549,981   0.555%
8.  cdc_btc  CloudCoin               8,694,190       26,019   0.299%
9.  qora_btc Qora               10,000,000,000   27,734,604   0.277%
10. aur_btc  Auroracoin              1,672,300        4,306   0.257%

So it seems to me that Qora is pretty healthy in terms of actual trading activity. So really, it comes down to price and the biggest issue from what I've been seeing is a completely lack of "news" despite that fact that there has been progress over the last couple weeks.

Should note that I'm not sure about the accuracy of the Bter data. Couple days ago it was showing a trade from July in "recent trades" for Qora. Could be related to them introducing load balancing on the public api and maybe they're still working out sync issues.

Great analysis. Give it time guys. Qora is making great progress. I'm waiting till the beginning of next year for us to build out our base infrastructure to establish a strong base. I'm sure qora the dev will march on with great speed and surprise everyone with his quality work. The price will automatically catch up. I just hope we dont open source the code before that!
