Stake-A-Thon Update #2

The Testnet Stake-A-Thon is a little over half-way through with two weeks left to go. Sign up now at https://stake-a-thon-test.qtum.org/en.

The Stake-A-Thon offers a first-look at Qtum offline staking protocol, currently running on testnet (https://testnet.qtum.info/) and coming to Qtum mainnet approximately 7:15 pm GMT on August 28 with a hard fork at block 680,000. Mainnet staking wallets should update now (https://qtumeco.io/wallet) to version 0.19.1: don’t be left behind by the hard fork!

Development Updates (July 28 - August 3)

Qtum Core

Qtum core updates normally consist of Qtum Improvement Proposals. These QIPs are generated by both our developers and the community and in some cases requests from enterprise users. Our developers evaluate the impact of each QIP and work on high priority QIPs. All bug fixes and feature enhancements that have been issued to the core project will be listed here.

  •      Qtum Core v0.19.1 Mandatory Update

Infrastructure for Qtum

  •      Continued work on Janus

Qtum Neutron & x86 Virtual Machine

Qtum Neutron is the infrastructure to support new virtual machines and the first will be the x86 virtual machine allowing smart contract development in C, Rust and other languages. The EVM will continue, but the x86 VM will allow easy creation of smart contracts using safe, well-known, mature languages and tools, and also provide a new state memory model using DeltaDB.

  •      Continued work on Neutron

QtumJ is BitcoinJ ported to the Qtum blockchain protocol. The BitcoinJ library is a Java implementation of the Bitcoin protocol, which allows it to maintain a wallet and send/receive transactions without needing a local copy of Bitcoin Core. It comes with full documentation and some example apps showing how to use it.

Qtum Explorer & Wallets

The Qtum Explorer is our blockchain explorer that is used for viewing transaction details on the Qtum blockchain. The primary blockchain explorer site is qtum.info. We frequently release updates to both explorer and the web wallet sites. Additionally, you’ll find information regarding the official Qtum Electrum wallet and support/feature updates to hardware wallets or other interesting services/products

Qtum.info Explorer

Qtum.Info, as the official blockchain browser of Qtum, mainly provides information such as network status, transaction records, data indicators of blockchain and visual charts. Qtum users, exchanges, wallets, mining pools, and other commonly used data service tools.

Look at the posters on the wall. Steve Jobs - who had NO QUALIFICATIONS IN ANYTHING AND NEVER ACHIEVED ANYTHING IN LIFE - juxtaposed next to Albert Einstein, a real genius type, who laughed at being called a genius.

The fact that the Qtum team can't tell the difference between an idiot who got lucky in life and a real genius says it all! The fact that they think they're geniuses themselves tells you to sell!  Angry

Just one article because I don't have time to educate fools:

https://www.businessinsider.in/Steve-Jobs-played-no-role-at-all-in-designing-the-Apple-I-or-Apple-II-computers-Woz-says/articleshow/48781381.cms

From "Apple Confidential 2.0" by Owen W. Linzmayer: "Raskin [a computer scientist] tried convincing Jobs to go see the wonderful stuff at Xerox PARC [such as their desktop user interface], but...Jobs considered Raskin a 'shithead who could do no good' so he ignored Raskin's recommendation."

"Jobs' resignation didn't appease Apple. On September 23, the company filed a suit against Jobs and Page, enjoining them from using any proprietary information and charging Jobs with dereliction of his duties as chairman. The suit was ludicrous. Before his resignation, Jobs was considered an incompetent manager with little technical skill, but once he departed he suddenly became a major threat to the well-being of Apple? Realizing the suit only gave Jobs credibility, Apple quietly settled out of court in January 1986.

"With Jobs out of the way, Sculley led Apple through its most prosperous times, helping grow the business from $600 million in net sales when he joined in 1983 to almost $8 billion a decade later."
