@Dagamus, you're totally missing the point. We talk about difficulty and retargeting.

I understand that. Hash rate was mentioned in the statement about fluctuation.

How often does retargeting happen with RVN anyhow? It would be nice if it was adjusted as those on nicehash and other algo swappers are messing everything up for those of us sticking to a single pool.

Looks like pickaxe is doing maintenance or something. All of mine are on my failover at cryptopool.party.

they need rebuild algo or costumes so nice hash cannot attack. well that pay on crypto and something like blockchain sources.

This sounds difficult, but it can be tried to get better results. So it's better to make something new to get a good guarantee it's very important. I am very supportive.

There was today chat in Discord group about this and developers would definitely do something about difficulty issue. It just need time, can't be done in few days...

Only way is to set diff retargeting after every block, like ZCash do for example. Now is something like 2000 blocks (more or less few hundreds).

Now it's 2016 blocks.

Yeah so now difficulty falls and hashrate skyrockets. This is stupid. This is how you mess up mining.

Nicehash has to be fought back somehow. DEEEEEVs help us out here. We're the ones backing you up 24/7.

That is, do you think that they are making a mistake or are they doing everything correctly considering the development of mining? In the first paragraph i fully agree with you.

The fluctuation in network hashrate have little to do with the coin itself. The multi algo pools and nicehash see the opportunity to having most coins and algos available to draw in as many miners as possible.

The fluctuations are mostly from miners who cash out and aren't holding any coins for the future, so they go where they can earn the most fiat equivalent at that moment.

well because multi mining them used second option algo in PoW. but they need re-configure diff i think. just do implemented LWMA2. there see them good like btcdark do.

No what they are referring to is the network difficulty increases.

They ste currently swinging largely due to nicehash, and a few more exploitative raven miners.

This is the same thing that happened with Bcash when It forked.  At high diff they disappear as profitability is low, then when whoever is left does the heavy lifting to bring the diff down, they all come back and collect as much as they can.

Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

The problem has become worse since being listed on profit switching pools and nicehash

That happened to Pigeon month or two ago, so they shortened retargeting time.

The fluctuations come from the algorithm itself. If you the algorithm is mostly fast components then your hash rate will be much higher than when you have a bunch of slow components to the algorithm.

Yes it changes every minute but you will have some periods of time where it is real high, real low, or something inbetween.

The problem is due to miners moving back and forth. Difficulty goes down by alot, then they come back, all of them, difficulty goes up by alot and they all leave, leaving the rest of us with high difficulty and low hashrate

Don't know where the fluctuations come from though.

The last five days of mining on Pickaxe Pro have been terrible.  I'm getting 60% of my usual coins and I've been mining this for well over three months now.  Is everyone experiencing this on different pools?  I'm fixing to search for something else to mine because its not worth the electricity at this rates.

Yeah, it has been rough this week. I've been steady on pickaxe pro. Cryptopool party doesn't look too good either. Might be more profitable to put my miners on something else and just buy RVN with the proceeds there.
