I have a bit of a hard time to understand where or how the real value is placed in the projects. I mean if I buy real tokens and invest in a project. How is that transferred to fiat money so the house can be bought?

Why did you choose a real estate? What are the advantages?

Of course real estate is something that can still grow and much in the world of Crypo, Real comes to leverage the Economy in this sense and bring us more convenience in the long term, if dealing with real estate, this whole noise of Ico reflects the certain success of Real, and continuous

Not to mention that the biggest benefit is that an actual property assures there is always a floor for the coin/token. Unlike other coins which can drop to 1 sat, for the real token it will always be worth a part of a property (house/hotel/apartment), this gives it a floor value, which it cannot drop below practically. Sure the house can drop in value, but right now the housing market is recovering and climbing in value again.

Normally you are right, but not in the crypto world, where you can see several coins going down despite of good news or coins going up despite of bad news. Alts are unregulated and victims of speculation. A big problem also for Real since its real value could get under pressure with every popping alt bubble

Normally in crypto, yes. But this isn't something like good or bad news. It's a physical property (house/appartment/hotel) that is basically the collateral. Like with a mortage, your house is your collateral. Other cryptocurrency (at least almost all), dont have a real world property as collateral.

Propy is a totally different story, its a property registry proposal. It's not about owning property. REAL is pretty much a proposal to buy a share in several Ibiza (is it?) hotels.

Well it's more than that, they plan to invest in real estate in different countries (USA, Spain, and Caribbean). I don't think it will be focused on hotels. They'll have partnership with PortBlue Hotel which will manage their properties if I understood correctly.

That would be a great deal! It takes away all the hassle of maintaining property (at a small fee of course), so the team can focus on their own expertise: looking for great investments.

It just feels like buying real estate crypto is kinda backwards. It is like taking all your future crypto profits and putting into future property profits.

What i think is most likely to happen is it will be significantly overvalued during crypto pump and significantly undervalued if crypto dump.

The main difference being that property is a way more stable investment than crypto. Sure it might be booming now, but most unbacked crypto companies/tokens will fail in the long run. REAL is backed by real value, so you should always be able to get most of your investment out of it if crypto crashes (given that the housing market doesn't crash at the same time).

Another thing we should consider is ETH is going Proof of Stake in September, if history is a lesson it should skyrocket the price. If REAL is holding 100,000 ETH, instead of 100 Million USD it will be closer to about 150 million USD or more.

Well, it will be hard to know how it will impact the price, even if I think of an important rise for the Ethereum too.

I hope it will benefit the ERC20 tokens. But it's true that if Real has an ETH fund, there could be an important increase in the "potential fiat" they hold  Smiley

i really love the idea of investing bitcoin currency in property to have an extra layer of security. This is something i have not seen yet. Additionally, are the dividends paid in REAL or Ethererum.

Real estate investment return cycle is very long , real estate transaction is not easy , but the rate of return is stable.
I think the project can solve some of problem in transaction

People who hold their btc since 2011 or earlier are now millionaires. Better things comes at a price so patience is the key. Same thing is with Real Estate market.

It takes even longer with real estate unless their a housing boom, or the location becomes a popular tourist destination. BTC and crypto in general are high risk high reward ventures. Real estate has lower risk if managed right.

Sorry if this has been addressed, but how do comply with governing bodies regarding real estate holdings in different countries? If you're paying a dividend that means you're a security in the United States and would have to comply to SEC standards for US investors. This basically sounds like a real estate ETF, which is tightly regulated.
As far as i understand, they will have other companies regulating all legal issues. I could be wrong.
