@J4bberwock,

will you create a new post specifically for your new toys? So far I could see, I'm betting all my coins on your project than SF100...

It's not like this is a new company touting impossible specs. They've been around for more than a year (formerly known as gridseed) and have delivered all miners without any significant issues AFAIK.

Gridseed had quite a few issues with their units, in fact. The original orbs were widely reported to have VERY bad QC and poor design, the "80" blades were BADLY underengineered and tended to eat their power voltage converter circuitry a LOT - but they DID deliver reliably, just that the stuff they delivered had VERY BAD board-level engineering. Their GC3355 CHIPS however seemed to work well.

From what I've seen about the SF100 so far, that appears to NOT have changed.

any new products sold in the US are suppose to come with a year warranty by law

There is NO such law to my knowlage at the federal level. There is a RECOMMENDATION out of the FTC that does not in fact have force of law on that subject.
If you're looking at something else, link it.

Selling used gear as new, however, is an open-and-shut case of fraud under US consumer protection laws - if it can be proved that the item WAS in fact used when it was sold as new. There are some outs though - like cars that are test-driven can still be sold as new as long as they get the full factory warentee, and electronic gear that goes through burn-in testing by the manufacturer is still counted as new.

I've not seen Zoomhash doing that to date, but my sample size of gear bought from them is fairly small.

your right i was thinking of the  implied warranty all most all states have . I will try to find out what Steal series meant mybad . they told me the US warranty in the US is for one year on new products  by law and the EU warranty extends longer . I guess I miss understand just what they meant . but I went and looked after you said NO such law your right .was going by what steal series told me they replaced it after i sent it in they had make sure it was defective which is normal and fair .

I saw some thing thu  about that

Don't test-driven drien car have a limit on the miles it driven before that's not true or it is used.  but yea it if sold as new and is used you can prove it then it's fraud. key word prove it .

that may hold up diff  didn't really pay much attention to it about cars it may fall under a diff complaint if they try to claim it as a burn-in testing etc and the dealer can't say that's on the manufacturer any more either . but its a real pain in the but to get thu it all . might not be worth the hassle . and your state would handle that i think it said .

I've never seen Zoomhash do it either and anything i bought off them was new it was sold as new or used if it's sold that way . but Ive only bought little stuff from them to .

when we can buy again these miner?
Nobody knows really but I think zoomhash has a couple instock at the crazy price of 2000$, so if you really want one and want to lose money you could get one from them, I would wait it out,  they seem to be having issues.

It is crazy how much they jacked the price a 40 percent margin on a reseller is rediclous.  I think were better off waiting on future batch and we will have a chance at roi then.

I predict resellers start at high mark, and run them their self  until sold.   Most likely keeping a high margin till next batch is close to shipping.    It is sad but we can hope next batch soon.
Oh most definitely they are doing that and until the next batch is there they can drop it down to a 10% percent mark up and make a ton still and have had some free machines to mine off for a couple of months.

I don't believe it's legal to do that in the USA (selling used equipment as new). I would hope zoomhash would know better. If anyone receives a unit from zoomhash that obviously looks used they should explore their legal options. I bet you could end up getting the miner for free after damages Smiley

In the US It is but you have to prove it by filing complaints they will step in and look at it . but it is a from of fraud . and any new products sold in the US are suppose to come with a year warranty by law .  not 90 days . but bitmain gets a way with that one by selling over the internet as far as i know they do no kind of in store sells or have no  brick and mortar stores in the US that's how they get way with it unlike steal series etc. I mean you just can't go to your local bestbuy and buy a (ANtS5) if we could it has to have a year warranty and be new if it is sold as new . i think used stuff can be any were from 30 to 90 days .

I found that out once with a steal series gaming mouse, I had to return for warranty.

There is a mark up law to but doing it over the internet  bypasses that one to .

I never push it because i know i won't get any were with it so i leave it a lone . beside even if i could it might hurt miners in the US any way why would i want to hurt us over a warranty etc the whole world would have to stand up to them .to fix it .

I feel this way about them all because of a recent ripe off i feel bitmain tried to do to me and played pretty hard nosed about it for no reason . for a while there i thought they were really cool .

EU has a longer warranty steal series told me but i have no idea how it works there .

You would have thought that sfards & it's customers would be keen as hell to get the stats up for everyone to see....... Huh

machines most likely are having a lot of issues.

Also many of the people who received the SF100's are reporting problems/deficiencies which wouldn't make sense if they were shills trying to convince people to buy from sfards.

Then it'll be even easier for them to prove me wrong then, won't it?  Wink

Why does the second shot look like the trunk of a car?  Selling them out the boot eh?

Exactly what I thought.... Cheesy

I just neg-repd sfards as a scam until they prove me wrong. I'll do the same to everyone else who posted pics of "recieved" miners without proof of hashing & ownership too. BCT has become a haven for scammers with all sorts of supposed "hero" members involved with many of them.

It's bollox.

Cool, another sock puppet troll.

Once again, I call BS on these new photos. What is it with these supposed customers posting suspicious pics of recieved miners but being completely unable to post mining stats or proof that they actually own & run them?

The more posts I see of supposed recieved miners, the more I'm convinced it's a scam. Look at cloudthink.io for example, there were hero members vouching for that scam also, it's the same with this thread. At least cloudthink had the bottle to post in their own thread, unlike sfards. When I see hashing proof with names & dates I'll be convinced - but until then, this is another elaborate scam which BCT has become famous for peddling the last few months. Utter BS.

You've got it all backwards. Screenshots of mining software or pool stats are incredibly easy to fake. Anyone who knows the basics of Photoshop can do it. Pictures of unique hardware however is much harder to fake (not impossible though).
