Hey guys, we are pleased to say that our SFRBit has just been successfully tested. We tested it by sending some amount to an exchange.

There is some final cleaning up of the code and some final testing left. After that we will start work on SFRSend, our method to anonymize transactions by bouncing the transaction.

We will have 2 versions of SFRSend. We don't know what to name it as of yet. But the normal version would function as any normal anonymity send feature. Another version would be even more anonymous since u wouldn't know the recipient's address. You can anonymously send SFR to that person only by knowing his/her alias. Thanks to vipin for this suggestion.
But for this version of anonymity, you need to activate SFRMS in your wallet and choose an alias so it is paired with your SFR address.

More detail once we start working on it.

We could have the next wallet release this Weekend if everything goes well!

There is another very unique feature that we have thought of that would be an asset for many SFR users. The development time for this is a bit more so this won't be included in the upcoming wallet but would very well be in the one after this.

This is the screenshot of the SFRBit client :

Thanks - it does not open here in the office, but I guess it's my local issue...

But anyway, I do not feel comfortable with these P2P pools - it's just... I cannot accept to see that I mine with 15MH, the guy next to me mines with the same hashes but receives x2, x3 more just because he started to mine earlier...

Yea, it might be correct this way (I don't know- it's got to have some explanation), but still I cannot use to it - especially when I compared it with normal pool predictions...

It balances out after typically after 24hrs. So that u get the correct amount your are supposed to get based of your hashrate overtime, and since there are only 72 sfr per block, the other guys "take" will drop in proportion to what yours is. Its designed to discourage pool jumping. It depend on your mining strategy, if u mine for weeks on the same pool or p2p network then this is good. If u mine a different coin everyday then this is terrible for u and so stick to traditional pool. For more indepth description looks at posts abouts pps vs pplns or other such payout variants and mine on pools that best fit with your mining behavior/strategy. Hope this helps.

Anybody knows where SFR is mined with X11. I've tried in CryptoCulture but found only 2 block in 3+ hours. Other listed pools either don't open at all, or show no active miners in it.
And block explorer shows a lot more coins mined with X11.

Try this p2p pool it works well.

It's better for a coin to be listed because of the volume and interest than vote. Voted coins are dumped coins

+1 ninja list! Lets just be patient and wait for the development projects to be released. Volume will pick up and more exchanges will list Saffron. This coin is a diamond in the rough, just look at the road map...no reason to even vote, except to gain more popularity i guess.

Hitbtc looks like a good exchange and they have added us to their voting list. No registration reqd. All are free votes.

We are doing awesome on the Mintpal voting. If we can keep this pace it's 100% sure we will be added before the deadline (7 weeks still remaining I believe).

Haha yea but i would really like it if they add us by themselves.

Me too but they seam to busy adding the next P&D coin before Bittrex does it Sad

Every voted coin has been killed off, no exaggeration. If anything we should be taken off the voting list. But with the development projects up ahead, we are more likely to be ninja listed

Myth
I am posting an update on our progress:

The client is almost ready for SFRBit, we are now the downloading the entire Bitcoin Blockchain on a separate node that processes SFRBit transactions. In the time it is taking to download the Blockchain, we thought of working on anonymity.

We could very well have our anon feature "SFRSend" alongwith SFRBit in the next wallet update. We can't confirm this yet but we are working on it.

Our implementation of anon is pretty good because we would not be needing a hardfork. The transactions will be anonymized only if you use the wallet not the rpc commands.

Your transaction will be bounced on many nodes thus making it difficult to track the sender. Your amount will also be split to multiple nodes and sent to your destination address in small parts.
All this could take about 1-2 hours for your entire amount to reach the destination. It depends on the amount of cycles you choose to anonymize your transaction. The more cycles you choose, the more difficult it would be to track but would also take longer to reach your destination.

We are thinking of implementing "Stealth disposable addresses" for you to anonymize your transactions. You can use those addresses only once. It is like use and throw.

We can confirm in detail on this only after a few days after we successfully test SFRBit.

On a side note, I hope everybody is ready for the releases this coming week!

Charles, are you working on a MacWallet too?

Hi,

I'm waiting the code to compile the mac wallet.

Now many more features from the multi-tasking wallet will be included in the classic wallet such as block statistics, SFRBit, SFRSend.

Charles can you have the qmake compiled with webkit ready in a couple of days? I will send you both the wallets codes before release. The multi-tasking wallet needs qmake to be compiled with webkit support. Webkit causes a headache to many. It took me some time to first compile it a month back. I am not sure how long it could take on a MAC.

Thank you dev, yeah I hope option will be good and we already have unique alias for SFRMS, so we don't have to register a new one. Best of luck.

Dev is it possible to send and receive money just by alias. Everybody has unique alias. Don't you think the time taken in this method is too much? If we have to make a fast payment like in a coffee shop, we can't use this method and our financial position will not be a secret anymore.

Aliases can't be embedded in the blockchain. We could provide a centralized service where you can send coins only by knowing the person's alias. But even then the transactions have to be mixed and included on the blockchain for it to reach the recipient. But providing alias could give greater anonymity but the time taken would be the same. It can be faster if you choose lesser mixing cycles like 1 or 2. That would take about 10 mins to reach.
This is normal. Just the way anonymity works.

I agree that it works like that but if you are able to solve these problems of anonymity ours can be best one. If you can come up with some solution for :

1. The time taken for a transaction and
2. Receiving payment without loosing financial privacy(which is possible with alias).

Our anonymity feature can become number one, if it is possible.

Your second point can certainly be implemented. Thanks for that suggestion. But we will keep that as an option for users. Since they have to pair their SFR address with an alias which is stored on our server and routed from our server. So bit of centralization in that but it provides even more anonymity since you do not need an address to send coins. Just an alias.

We will keep both options open. It can be an even more anonymous SFRSend.
