okay i got it, irritating, took a lot of tries, then i had to set some gpu levels once into the miner. thank you anyways. if someone ever asks i had to do

sudo ./sgminer --algorithm darkcoin --no-extranonce -o stratum+tcp://blahblah:blah -u xx -p xx

from the settings i went from there and used the intensity and yado yado to get it to work, hope this helps, had to change the intensity and everything after it took a minute to load, it will say something about an error, just let it sit, it will start up, then change the gpu settings from the menu after it starts to work, you will see your hash rate increase from there.. this of course being if you can't get it to work ANY other way and are a total noob to ubuntu or linux... i am a windows user moving into ubuntu ;p at least for mining anyways..

SpreadCoin(bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=715435) offers bounty for the GPU miner. Thought you might be interested.

Possibly - if they didn't pay you in shitcoins worth almost nothing. Hell, I just looked at one of the exchanges - there's not enough orders on the buy book to dump 10k SPR!

Anyone can share the bin file of the new neoscrypt kernel with worksize=64 ?

Guys from Vertcoin are looking for someone to implement Lyra2RE algorithm into sgminer: http://sourceforge.net/p/sgminer/mailman/message/33026956/

Looks like a challenging and interesting job for guys like @Wolf0, @badman74 or @Slix (ystarnaud)...

Anybody have any rough guidlines around the intensity that is optimal for AMD Tahiti GPU's? Managed to finally get it to run on my 7950, but only at like 30khs at I-16

I use I = 17 or 18 for Xn. It depends on your overclocking.

I have a feeling they mean neoscrypt...

Ok. I have just configure the new sgminer5.1 What are good settings for sapphire 270x and 280x for neosrcypt and n-scrypt.

Thanks all.

@platinum4,,,,,

i don't get your screen shots why are you showing i15 298kh/s when you have already achived 315kh/s with i14

 what am i not getting

is it a drop in kh/s due to time ?

+100 Nice Wolf0

I dropped your Kernel into badman74's updated extra hashes miner with 14.6 drivers and i'm getting 15Kh/s less than you using lower clock speeds

Wolf0, you are the man!

my 14.6 and 14.7 rigs are flying!

Wolf0, thanks for your great kernel!!!

Improve 60% in my rig with 14.6 drive - 14.9 don't go.

Well done!

I would be very happy if soon these 60% are achieved in the new kernel for X11!

thanks wolf but i'm not able to get anywhere near your rates. my sapphire 290 tri-x are only getting 145khs each running on 14.9 driver with -w 48, -tc 8192, -threads 4 in win 7. i wonder what the diff is.

I'm using my own kernel that's in development, that's why.

I get 0 HW errors
sgminer5.10-dev nicehash build november7,2014
298Kh/s
1040/1500
R9 290X
14.6RC2 (june23) CCC
worksize: 64
gpu-threads: 2
intensity: 15
What's the difference you're getting from 14 to 15 intensity? I've got a very little speed up
I:14 yields 315Kh/s
I can get it up to 470Kh/s but it won't produce any shares either accepted or rejected; just HW errors.

Wolf0, many thanks for your great kernel!!!

4x280X went from 580 Kh/s to 980-1030 Kh/s

Well done!

SG5 for neoscrypt is out; I've compiled it. This is a zip of my kernel, slighly modified for SGMiner, as well as all the other kernels included on the github's develop branch, and a Win64 binary. Static compile, no DLLs, just like my standard SGMiner builds on Litecointalk. Also GPG signed, like my standard builds:

https://ottrbutt.com/sgminer/neoscrypt/sgminer5-neoscrypt-11-02-2014.zip

And of course, GPG sigs for those that check them (you should be): https://ottrbutt.com/sgminer/neoscrypt/sgminer5-neoscrypt-11-02-2014.zip.sig

Wolf0,

I know your .cl mod works with AMD 14.9 but it also works with earlier versions, and is faster, too.

I tried AMD 14.9 and got 137.5kH from a 7970 with the Stilt BIOS at I13 gpuclock 1000 memclock 1500 g 2 worksize 48
when I uninstalled it and went back to AMD 14.6 I got 156.7kH (that is substantial)

another rig that I have with 7970's  that runs AMD 14.7rc1 gets 156.4kH (not much difference)

interestingly, I cannot get the 280x's to match the 7970's, the 7970's are beating them,
280x's are getting 152.8kH, even if I bump up the gpuclocks

I've got the stock BIOS on my Sapphire Vapor-X Tri-X 280X - I 12 worksize 128, g 2, and 1150/1500.
On 14.9, further modified kernel, 250 - 260kh/s.
