Mobo?  HA!  What about the power supply?

Those must be 4 7990s and I'll guess 3-4 psus are being used..

Huh?
Hi guys need help on a rig i have 1x R9 280x and 3x 750 Ti how can i mine with R9 with sgminer because i get error the ccminer for nvidia work perfect.

Any sugestions?

Thx in advance

1) Ensure that all cards work - GPU-Z/Device Manager/AfterBurner
2) Start miner on AMD GPU only, use --gpu-platform. If it won't work at all - re-install AMD drivers. If it will work but won't display temp/speeds or enter "3d mode" when mining - you need dummy plug. R9 290x can use simple DVI dummy with resistors. Or you can plug monitor in it.

nvidia and amd use two different drivers to access the cards in the system ...

you cannot mix and match them ... at least not from a 'standard' point of view ...

Yeah.. right..

for all the time ive been mining - i have never seen this done successfully ... especially with windows ...

now i have Smiley ...

the farm will still be sticking with linux - but damn good to see ...

btw - how did you get all 10 gpus in the one system without a BIOS change? ...

Check his signature.

And i have to say. Congrats. Been able to get 8 running on linux. Had no more space to connect any extra gpu's.

And yes, i would also love to know what mobo that is. Gotta go get me one of those for sure Smiley

On Linux you can easily mine with AMD and nvidia cards together. Use AMD as primary then install cuda without opengl.

dont they both need different drivers? ...

i tried this a while ago and it just refused to work ...

#crysx

You can install both drivers on the same machine; the nvidia one and cuda should be installed by the run file, not the deb.

Try creating a fake display by detecting then extending the main display to the nvidia cards.

Ok thx guys i let u know if i can make them works

nvidia and amd use two different drivers to access the cards in the system ...

you cannot mix and match them ... at least not from a 'standard' point of view ...

so suggestion is simple - remove the amd card and put it in a different system ( or build a small system ) that will be used for mining on that card alone ...

it required catalyst drivers and ( im assuming from the description ) you have nvidia drivers installed ...

btw - depending on what you are mining - you are MUCH better off using one of the forks of ccminer for the nvidia mining ...

the most universal one is sp's fork - but there are a few that are suited to different mining - like tpruvot and djm34 etc ...

sp-mod is here - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ccminersp-mod-modded-nvidia-maxwell-pascal-kernels-826901 ...

Update as to my prior post.  It seems that the 2nd 7990 core is recognized (rather than the cpu which I had previously thought... the hashrate on the cpu and the gpu core on intensity 8 is about the same).  The 2nd core does not take configuration values by default.  I am able to increase the intensity to the desired level manually, but it will not accept core or memory settings at all.  Neither core has temperature information shown within the miner.

Is this because the gpu is not being fully recognized or mapped?  The miner will be being restarted frequently due to some custom software I run, so the core not taking on the configuration values is problematic.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

The line "[11:54:08] [THR0] gen_stratum_work() - algorithm = ckolivas" leads me to believe that you are trying to mine an X11 coin using a scrypt kernel.  You need to set the algorithm to "darkcoin-mod" in order to hash correctly I think.

I'm trying to use this miner with x11 algo, but no luck.I'm getting this error: Rejected 1287f082(-> this number changes) Diff 13/0.020 GPU 0  (Share above target.)

My GPU is MSI R9 270 (2GB), I'm using Windows 10 Pro 64-bit and latest AMD drivers..

Anyone knows a solution?

thats like saying 'my car isnt working - can anyone help' ... without actually specifying what the issue is ...

you need to publish your settings for anyone to be able to help - if they can ...

this is obviously a setup issue - so we need to know what os - what miner - and the settings that you are using ...

My OS is Windows 10 64-bit (CPU FX- 6300, 8 GB ram, MSI R9 270 2GB), SGminer v5.1 (downloaded from nicehash and I'm using their mining servers for selling my hash).GPU is running at stock speeds.SGminer is setting are default, I didn't change anything.
