Pinkdog has been added to our dead coin list, due to low volume, website/social/dev gone.

http://www.coinopsy.com/dead-coins/pinkdog/

Thanks, from the Coinopsy Team Smiley.

Contact us for any edits. Also we offer a bounties up to 0.1ETH for inside information on this or other dead coins, that is not common knowledge (google/wayback search/Whois search). Like projects the developer has moved onto or the developers name.
Wow, there are certain cases that it is certain that no team member continues to manage the project.

The doggie is going to be delisted from its only exchange...  Sad

Lots of coins being sold now dirt cheap... Its probably the last chance to save the doggie, and make some money too. So many promises in this thread, so little actually done... Any brave guy to pick this pet up..?

Sad to hear that. I called this exchange to list this coin long time ago cause I believed this funny project. It had segwit. Not a lot of coins had segwit that time.

I think I will never understand why the dev made all the work and leave this as it is today, unless if this coin was a "branch test" for a major coin, like litecoin. This was launched few weeks before LTC implement segwit... (tinfoil hat working, i guess).

...

Guys, good luck on this toxic environment that bitcointalk has become. See ya around here and there...someday, maybe.

Anyone has nodes for this coin? Tried to sync the wallet, but no joy...
Looks like CoinExchange has its wallet online, so I suppose the chain is moving, and there should be some working nodes.

Uh, isn't this coin dead? No dev.

Thought the same, quite the 2014 throwback since it was a nostalgic era for Altcoins...erhm shitcoins

Hi, I have tried in solo mining but it seems that it does not work with the normal parameters in the configuration file, some help please, thank you.

These options are from the commands console of the pinkdog wallet

RPC server options:

-server Accept command line and JSON-RPC commands

-rest Accept public REST requests (default: 0)

-rpcbind= Bind to given address to listen for JSON-RPC connections.

 Use [host]:port notation for IPv6. This option can be specified multiple times (default: bind to all interfaces)

-rpccookiefile= Location of the auth cookie (default: data dir)

-rpcuser= Username for JSON-RPC connections

-rpcpassword= Password for JSON-RPC connections

-rpcauth= Username and hashed password for JSON-RPC connections.

The field comes in the format: :$. A canonical python script is included in share/rpcuser. This option can be specified multiple times

-rpcport= Listen for JSON-RPC connections on (default: 9776 or testnet: 19776)

-rpcallowip= Allow JSON-RPC connections from specified source. Valid for are a single IP (e.g. 1.2.3.4), a network/netmask (e.g. 1.2.3.4/255.255.255.0) or a network/CIDR (e.g. 1.2.3.4/24).
 This option can be specified multiple times

-rpcthreads= Set the number of threads to service RPC calls (default: 4)

Conf file

rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=pass
rpcport=9776
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
server=1

minerd.exe -a sha256d -o 127.0.0.1:9776 -O user:pass

this conf not work,any suggestion please, many thanks.

Maybe
minerd.exe -a sha256d -o http://127.0.0.1:9776 -O user:pass
would be better, to force miner use getwork protocol.

Campaign Management?"Hhampuz" is the Man
I've seen a lot of talk but I think we can all agree it's time to get things done. If so, I'm willing to claim development from now on. I have a great concept in mind I which I'll present next week.
2nd dev to abandon.
Could have really done something with this coin when it launched.
Community should have really taken over.
community take over will be a good option if more people around which holding the coin will make agreement that development will take place before they will dumped their holdings cooperation will help this project to survive without proper negotiations it will be hard to takeover.

Yep, this was a good one... Had great potential, and good (but small) community around. Could have been a big success, if developer didn't turn to be just a useless prick.
Don't get it, why those useless people publish a coin, just to get lost in couple of weeks or less. Whats the point?
I really don't understand them, why wasted time?

I still think we should turn this into SegWitCoin.

The idea is good - making SegWitCoin we can attract some attention due to the SegWit battle. Some could support is just for the sake the name Smiley

However the problem is not the name (PinkDog proved to be a great name for fun coin too, so this project could have achieved much more, even while staying a fun Doge-like coin)... The problem is the absence of a developer, and that 'little' issue wont be fixed with the name change...

Thanks! Absence of a developer doesn't matter, that way, it can prove itself as an open source project.

Is this it? https://github.com/coinsmith/SegWitCoin
I'm willing to contribute if there are a few more willing to help.
Perhaps the way to go is to setup a room somewhere and figure out what's possible.
