Our electricity when off then on, now I'm getting an error message when launching SIA: "A SIA-UI ERROR HAS OCCURRED: Siad unexpectedly closed" before I remove and re-install does anyone know a simpler course of action?

Ive a preversion of a ccminer compatible with suprnova getwork over stratum and nanopool getwork over http...

Preview funding price for the prerelease is 0.05 btc... limited to the first 20 users. I will try to handle more protocols in the final release (like other stratum variants)

PM me if interested

oh about the hashrate : 1GH/s on a 970, 670MH on a 960, 375MH on a 750ti, pascal speeds are good too, but speeds are more variable with oc/models.. so i dont report them for now
Epsylon3 I sent you a pm  plz read.... thx  Smiley

Where can i buy sia shares?
Poloniex

If you are in China, you can try to buy SC from yunbi.

I think he may mean Siafunds. In which case, Siafunds are only directly traded person to person. The siatalk slack has a channel where people make offers.

At what prices?

Around 2-3 btc each

Forgive the nooby questions, but on the main Sia site it mentioned something to the effect of renting out my HDD space on contracts for Sia, and then also mining it.

Can someone explain the mining and tell me the algorithm?  I couldn't find it anywhere.

It is Blake2B and you can now mine on pools. http://cryptomining-blog.com/tag/siacoin/

Renting out your HDD earns you contract rewards in SC.
